I just had to stop drinking it completely. My stomach was killing me, my concentration sucked and numerous other issues. To be fair I was drinking about 7 or so cups a day. I'm drinking green tea now. It doesn't give me as big of a lift as coffee did, but I have no health issues and no coffee crash.

Sounds like you were addicted to it

People who drink coffee several times a day benefit from smaller, stronger cups

I have just one big cup in the morning and that's it

Also, it's possible that there was something "extra" in your beans when they were ground

Pound for pound tea actually has more caffeine than coffee.
The brewing process is what generally flips that in the final product.
Maybe you only needed a better brewing regimen?

Dunno about this "green tea" stuff of which you speak, though.

Yeah, I was. I've got an addictive personality. Whenever I find something I like I overdo it every time.

This was one strange year

On most bushes there were dry, ripe and green beans

Which means coffee had three flowerings

Because it couldn't really know what season it was in

It's almost October and we haven't had any significant rain fall for 4 months

Next year it should be the same crap

Really? That's a surprise. I always thought coffee had more. While we're on the topic, have you two heard of this coffee?

I wonder how they put get the extra caffeine there

That's probably pure robusta coffee
You'd know, you live in an area where most coffee comes from right? I think the name of the coffee brand is hilarious. "You want your heart to explode? Well then, try Death Wish. You won't be disappointed." lol

Oh yeah. I've tried it. It's not bad, but I don't drink coffee solely for the caffeine so paying a premium for the cool brand name wasn't economical in the long run.
