So the new Justice is trash.

And also again....please show an example of the conservative justices being activists? And no....supporting and upholding the Constitution is not activism...that's their job. People deciding the Constitution is trash and outdated doesnt somehow make supporting the foundation of the country "activism".

Abortion - one example.

Abortion wasn't even illegal in the United States when the Constitution was written as it was practised by 18th Century midwives in North America.

Please, Log in or Register to view URLs content!

So...if a person interprets the Constitution it 'ought to be' interpreted, then technically abortion should be legal.

A Strict 'Constitutionalist' would say abortion should be legal

So where in the Constitution does it say we can deprive another human being of life?

This is the same logic that was used for Dred Scott that black people were not person's or citizens and couldnt be included in the Constitution.

So you think abolitionists and Republicans have always been activists then? For abolition and the 15th amendment? Womens suffrage too?

But in 18th century America they didnt see the fetus as a person or 'human life'. And there was no prohibition of this practice according to their laws.

So if someone reinterprets the constitution they are technically 'activist'.

They also didnt see women or black people as person's.

Who reinterpreted the Constitution? You are talking about amendments that ensure the equal rights of Americans as "reinterpreted"?

Btw the first feminists opposed abortion. They absolutely regarded humans in utero as alive and human.

A Strict 'Constitutionalist' would say abortion should be legal
Exodus 21:
“If people are fighting and hit a pregnant woman and she gives birth prematurely but there is no serious injury, the offender must be fined whatever the woman’s husband demands and the court allows.
But if there is serious injury, you are to take life for life,
eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,
burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise.

But in 18th century America they didnt see the fetus as a person or 'human life'. And there was no prohibition of this practice according to their laws.

So if someone reinterprets the constitution and states that abortion should be illegal they are technically 'activist'.

Liar @Joe: "Anything that was practiced in the 1700's that was not mentioned in The Constitution was therefore supported by The Constitution."

Also Liar @Joe: "Cars are un-Constitutional."

No. I'm hopeful God destroys America by then.

The day is comin when one of your children will marry a Transgender Lokmeer!

And then you will have ta learn ta love & accept them like they was yer own children Bud.

His children are adults and already married.

I'm afraid the closet you guys are gonna get to some leftwing wet dream of one of us "righties" being forced to embrace some trans person is gonna arrive more in the context I've pointed out.

I have a lesbian daughter about to begin college next year. The likelihood of one of my daughters having a very negative and toxic run in with a man self identifying as a woman is pretty high.

My oldest may end up getting labeled a transphobe because I know there is no way she will ever date a biological male no matter how well he presents as a stereotypical woman.

I personally know a young lesbian in one of Michigans well known unis(U of M) who was approached by a male who recently came out as trans and said to her "hey I just came out as a woman and I'd like to take you out". She declined and was terrified for months it was going to bite her.

I know a lot of leftwads view this trans thing as their new great "equality cause" and imagine it's the same as the race equality cause or homosexual equality cause and one day it will be so normal and accepted that one of us opposers will find ourselves having to embrace one of these people into our families.

That isnt going to happen, Joe. Peoples families are already being impacted....very negatively....by this trans issue on many different levels. This is not your grandma's civil rights cause. This is predatory and toxic and a direct threat to womens rights, and its pushing gay people back into a closet. You know gay people are attracted to the same SEX? Not genders but sex? Yeah that's transphobic today.

There isnt going to be a day where this is ever going to be "normal". There is too much abuse and rape and harrassment involved. Whether its ignored or not. This isnt about bigotry. Activists screaming down all valid opposition and labeling it isnt going to make it go away.

And also again....please show an example of the conservative justices being activists? And no....supporting and upholding the Constitution is not activism...that's their job. Just pointing out that anything which alters or changes a document beyond its original form is technically 'activist'

And that doesn't matter if the changes are made by a right wing or left wing majority.

You may not agree with me but I think both left and right jurists in the United States are highly activist. And either has too much power.

Many issues should be decided in referendums by citizens like you @Dove and therefore the role of the courts would be to merely enforce laws Americans actually voted and had a say with. Ideally, courts should not make laws.

Also Ketanji Brown and Amy Coney Barret should not get lifetime appointments. 75 years old or 25 year terms then they have to step down.

The Democrats painted themselves into a corner by allowing Ruth Bader Ginseng to stay on as long as she did. She should have stepped down during the Obama administration when she was diagnosed with cancer. She already had 20 years on the court by the time Obama was presidrnt. Her selfish motives caused the court to tip 6-3 in the conservative favor.

I support term limits for SCOTUS.

I too support term limits for SCOTUS with said limits being a range between 8 and 16 years with the actual number being drawn by a random lottery so that no one party can predict possible SCOTUS appointments to fall in line with their own interests

I support SCOTUS members only being picked by whomever is the modern day Billy Graham. Currently, thats Franklin Graham. Any time libs cry about it, it automatically becomes the choice of the modern day Fred Phelps, which is me.

I saw Franklin Graham speak live in Vancouver once @Lokmar.

I noticed that evangelical movement jazzed up their be ins since his father's day.

It was more like a rock n roll concert.

No more Mormon tabernacle choir type performance just these Christian Rock and Roll bands. Take away the mega death lyrics and you got Christian rock Bud.

That evangelical movement has changed since Billy Grahams time

The important thing to remember josephine, it the SCOTUS was supposed to be an anchor to prevent the country from sliding off its foundations. Libs on a court slide it off its foundations. Ergo, libs never belonged in the SCOTUS.

Progressive/radical feminist/lesbian women are becoming 'homeless ' because they can no longer support their party's position on Transgenders:

I'm aware. I've seen that.

And this issue was first really brought to my attention by now "politically homeless" former leftwing lesbians and homosexuals. A lot of former left leaning feminists. These people are not just homeless but branded transphobic bigots.

And I can see more and more of that happening as people start seeing what this new gender equality shit actually means and how it plays out in society.

And as I'm pointing out the reality of this, showing that any man can SELF identify as a woman, and have access to all womens spaces and sports and how this harming women and girls(there is just lists and lists of assaults, rape, abuse, et).....the people choosing to ignore this, to dismiss it as "right wing hatred"? They WILL have a reckoning with it. The more people who were "left wing" who see it and experience it and turn.....the harder it will be for the rest to ignore the harm.

They will eventually be forced to deal with the fact that they didnt just ignore the attack on women and girls and turned their heads from rape, abuse and rights violations...but that they encouraged it.

Once your politcs openly embraces things like this that are doing so much harm to others? You've become a calloused authoritarian monster who is more interested in your own biases than you are in anything for the benefit of the people. Not even nazis forced women to share quarters with men. Forcing vulnerable women to share prison cells with rapist and violent men who claimed to be women, is fucking cruel and disgusting and ignoring the abuse makes one a complete fucking monster.

When they cant deny it anymore they have to live with themselves. I suspect many are legit sociopaths so it probably wont phase them.

Your opinion on the Constitution and abortion is faulty. Abortion literally deprives another human being of life. That's the fact whether you "agree" or not.

To he consistent an amendment should be made, just like for black Americans and women, that all human beings have equal human/Constitutional rights.

Since people are forever trying to find ways and loopholes and excuses to make money off the brutality of other groups of human beings.
