Christianity developed a major league problem when it quit being incensed, disgusted, and repulsed by behaviors worthy of the death penalty. Far far too many churches these days host abortionists and kweirdos in its ranks and refuse to condemn that behavior. Jesus Himself wrote about such congregations in Revelation 2. The small town where my wife is from, there is a woman at the local roller church who had an affair. This cunt booted her husband out and the church accepted her new boyfriend when they should have shunned the wife who had been attending this church for decades. I guarantee you that the reason the church allowed these two hell bound shitbags to keep going there is because he was black! "Christians" are more concerned about racism appearances than decency. Just think, all the young people learned a lesson there!
Jeez. I go to a Reformed church. There is no joke about church discipline.
People WILL get called to repentance and they will reach out and help and all that when something is going on. Divorce is not a favorable thing but there is a whole process there. You cant just divorce and prance in with a boyfriend/girlfriend. You divorce in my church you will be expected to stay single.
The only time I've seen someone flat out not respond to a call to repentance was a guy who suddenly went full blown SJW out if what seemed to be nowhere. His wife sang in the church with the worship team....and they were always so chill and cool.
And then suddenly after Floyd died this guy went balls to the wall BLM and started viciously attacking church members. And no one really knew what to do except try to respond in a loving way. Our Pastor told us NOT to fight with him and the pastor and Elder handled it. We never saw them in church again :/
It really was strange how he suddenly flipped. And literally nothing in the church was ever slightly about politics, just about scripture and Jesus and how to apply biblical principles to the events occurring today.

By the time someone is "shunned" there has been A LOT of intervention and prayer. And if someone just keeps resisting... they just have to go and hopefully be brought back by God eventually.
