While I understand that sometimes life's obstacles & bankruptcy can't always be avoided but at least gotta try.

Had some rough scrapes with near debtor prison but managed to escape.

Next year I should be in the 750 range once a bad debt falls offa the credit score. Maybe not stellar but still acceptable.

Person needs credit these days just ta survive eh.

It's taken years for me to rebuild credit. My mother wrecked it before I was even 18. Then my first marriage wrecked it more.

Then I got some of it paid off.....and then the drug addiction. It was a mess.

In the recovery program i did, they actually had a financial advisor who was there to teach people about budgeting and credit and all that. I already knew how to budget....but i still took advantage of the opportunity to learn. He taught me how to go about fixing my credit.

Still doing it but it's so much better. Nearly everything on it has been paid.
