Stop touching my money, i'm trying to build my own spaceport and I need every penny. My grandpappy said watch your nickels and dimes and your dollars will look after themselves.

Well the government is bending my dollars over and FUCKING THEM IN THE ASS spending it on Israel and bullshit that has nothing to do with space exploration. Isn't NASA not even building rockets anymore?

I can build my own damn rocket, in fact I did. But I was shut down by the municipal regulatory FAGGOTS who simply wanted to shake me by my ankles until there was nothing left in my pockets. FUCK THE EPA!!!!!

I've made roughly $150K this year and I've paid 32% of my income to the fed and state governments in taxes. My wife and I usually pay an additional $7K to the feds at income tax time. Fucking bullshit!

...but that's not enough....Lokmeer!

They should tax ya at least 90%.

Give ya $15,000 ta live on....for the year.

And then force you to allow some impoverished ANTIFA dudes ta squat on yer farmland, Bud.

Give ya a taste of the flavor of real Communism & what it's like in other countries, eh? Force you ta 'give back'.

You've simply had it too good fer too long, Bud!

Revolushions!!!

I think in some countries like Latin America or where Seamajor lives, the land owner's title to to the land is somewhat tenuous, Dovey.

They have problems with squatters.

It's not like USA or Canada.

That's probably why they have all these gated communities with armed guards.

Maybe Seamajor knows/heard about in CR

I don’t live in a gated community Joe. What are you talking about? I bet there are more in California?

Oh. I heard there's problems with owning buying land in Latin America & the buyer can easily get scammed cuz the laws regarding land ownership are completely different than the USA or Canada.

Hearsay, speculation. There have been cases of long time absent owners who’s land was squatTed on. FYI, Land issues, including building permits, water, and electrical hookups are heavily scrutinized by a number of bureaucracies. Nothing moves with our Engineers, and Architects approvals. How does one live without water and power? I bet codes here are stricter than in Canada. My home built 24 years ago has survived a 7.6 earthquake, without a crack. Mexico is a different story.

Seems like it'd only be viable to purchase land in CR if it was owned by an American corporation or similar within a gated community. So your title would never be in doubt & would be squatters could be kicked out or prevented from taking it over.

We get squatters in America and depending on where you are......its a real shit show getting them out.

That just happened HERE on this camp ground. Some crazy woman just started squatting in someones trailor. She caused a lot of damage manually turning the water on in it as well. It took 7 months to get her out.

And she trashed the place. The owner is devastated over it.

But if a foreigner doesn't live there all the time, how do they protect the property from being taken over by squatters when the owner isnt there?

Do you own a gas station in the countryside?

All true. There is also a huge problem with squatters as well as weak yet needlessly slow and complicated legal processes. At the end of which enforcement is almost nonexistent.

I am not saying it doesn't but in places like Puerto Rico squatters just went into someone else's land, built a shanty town without permits or basic services or design features (like proper drainage) and then then left wing governments refused to evict them or compensate legal landowners for decades. We are talking like a 1/3rd of all housing on the island where people just said "why work and buy a house when I can just steal from someone else?"

Is it any wonder investment then collapses as investors don't even know if the land they buy won't be stolen from them at any time? Yes, that massively harms their economy.

Nations have different legal systems.

I believe Canada and the States and British nations'/territories use common law.

And the Latin American countries have civil law.

so the concept of ownership and entitilement are different.

so in Latin American cultures, the judges could rule in favor of the squatters.

so your title over the land is a lot more tenuous.

There is another problem which is endemic to most of Latin America which amounts to nothing more than weaponizing the government on behave of wealthy special interests. Say you want to build a hotel, it could literally be anything, an apartment building, a shopping mall, a port, a factory, what ever... Well, the wealthy guy who owns the hotel down the streets doesn't want free market competition and he knows if there was competition he would have to either lower prices or pay more to upgrade his hotel so that it can compete and he definitely doesn't want to do that. So he gives bribes to the local government offices who then block the permits for his competitors and thus can keep his monopoly without anyone competing with him.

In so much of Latin America that is how it is done and that causes mass economic harm because people are forced to over pay for just about everything, there is less development over all, which means less work for workers, and less over all tax revenue. But the officials got their personal bribe so they don't care even though it directly harms the entire society.

You are several tax margins away from the category of people that would be subject to any tax increases being discussed, so slow your role. But thanks for playing.

Even though the legal owners did everything right but leftist governments refused to do their legal duty.

Then they get the surprise Pikachu face when landowners in Colombia or Mexico or where ever decide to take the law into their own hands and burn down all the squatter huts and shoot a bunch of theives. No, lawlessness is a terrible thing and this is how you get lawlessness which kills economies.

Yeah, I can see that. You get dysfunctional economies like Venezuela.

I wish Latinso'd do it to China. Because they know they aren't welcome in many other countries, they come to the US, Canada and Australia hoard all the land driving up prices and homelesness.

I'd like to see China get burned by these cartels down south because they're destroying our socieities.

It is not just Latin America. Tons of British had the same problem when they buy a house in Spain thinking everything was legal but the title some how becomes contested. It is a common scam which cheats retirees out of their lives savings.

All taxation is theft.

The paradigm of taxation by the "state" was first developed in lower Mesopotamia and first perfected by Sargon of Akkad in the 23rd century BC.

Every State since then has adhered to the same paradigm of "legal theft" from the productive in society in the name of the "common good" as defined by the State that was "legally" stealing other people's wealth.

Every State in recorded history since the time of Sargon has eventually collapsed because States can only grow, and can never retract, and there comes a time in the life of a State when too great a percentage of the populace subsists upon the wealth confiscated from the productive in society that create all the wealth in the first place.

We have long passed the point here in the US, and in most Western 1st World countries, where half the population or more of bloated leech parasites are being supported by the rest of us just trying to make our way and pay our taxes and be left alone.

It will not go well when the West finally collapses. I blame Leftist vermin. Most all of them suck their livings from the taxpayers.

Any other questions about taxation?

We have long passed the point here in the US, and in most Western 1st World countries, where half the population or more of bloated leech parasites are being supported by the rest of us just trying to make our way and pay our taxes and be left alone.

It will not go well when the West finally collapses. I blame Leftist vermin. Most all of them suck their livings from the taxpayers.

Any other questions about taxation?

Unfortuantely Rennel/Reggie, this attitude of undertaxing ccertain groups, such as Big Tech, has led to this monopoly they have, and excessive concentration of power where they bully the Right in America and fuck them around, right? Just like zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos and Sergei Brun of google do to control and manipulate these guys. Plus they crush their competition like Parler into submission.

You think low taxation rates benefit upper income earners and bashes the poor, but in fact it's marginalized the Right or Conservatives in America too.

I don't know the benefits of loweiring tax rates to the point where it grants certain elites absolute and unlimited power over everyone.

I've made roughly $150K this year and I've paid 32% of my income to the fed and state governments in taxes. My wife and I usually pay an additional $7K to the feds at income tax time. Fucking bullshit!

As a gas station attendant? Is there anyone here who believes you?
You do.

Lokbrain you fucking lie.
Not at all. I made about $170K to $180K the year before. Be happy though, the scamdemic looks like it will knock me down to $120 next year.

I'm so fucking glad our source of income was boosted due to the pandemic.

My family even received retention bonuses....twice lol.

We havent had to stress about bills at all.....so Admin probably would want my family to be taxed until we are facing homelessness.
You are several tax margins away from the category of people that would be subject to any tax increases being discussed, so slow your role. But thanks for playing.
Motherfucker, the category always scoops up shitloads of people you say it wont. Go fuk yourself!

All taxation is theft.

The paradigm of taxation by the "state" was first developed in lower Mesopotamia and first perfected by Sargon of Akkad in the 23rd century BC.

That's what YOU assholes say

But yet you completely fucking IGNORE what ACTUALLY happens.

Why are they watching regular ass people using things like Pay Pal? Do you think the wealthy elites hide their wealth....on pay pal?

Of course you do. The government could confiscate our homes. And we would be camping in a parking lot listening to you yammer on about how they are just going after the "rich" and how dumb we all are for being mad at your glorious overlords(fucking criminals)

It's not taxation which collapses an economy or civilization, it's failing to pay attention to the fundamentals and undertaking funny money economic policies.

What we've been doing since 1980 when Ronald Reagan was president.

Like driving up the national debt way beyond its ability to pay it back.

Or printing money instead of having real money on hand.

Like not balancing the budget.

So whether the society gets the money from taxation or actualy economic output, when it failes to balance the books and then prints fake money to cover the costs/shortfall, that's when it gets into trouble.

Isn't that what George W Bush said after your country posted the largest surpluses in history?

Said something about fuzzy math, he wanted massive tax cuts so the deficits would go up and so that the corrupt bastard could wage all those wars in the middle east and make the USA go broke.

did poor people cause the USA to go broke within 20 short years?

Did they wage all those overseas wars?

did they ask to serve and die in them?

USA and other nations too living way beyond their means.

thinking they don't have to pay the taxes needed for the services they get.

BTW, this includes the poor as well.

If all of us paid for the actual services we get - police, fixing water/sewer pipes, fire;/ambulance, our taxes would be much much. higher.

You can't get something for nothing and if it's all financed on debt, then we're all living on borrowed time.

Sorry, Joe. Couldn't read it all and besides, I have already explained what ALL taxation is:

Theft.

All of it.

Since the time of Sargon no government, no State, anywhere at any time has created or employed a single person who created wealth from nothing.

I have moar respect for some guy selling hot dogs from a push cart on the street than I do for any person employed by the State because that guy selling hot dogs on the street creates wealth, and not one single government "worker" at any level, anywhere, ever, has ever created a single penny of wealth to benefit their fellow citizens.

Not one.

Ever.

Anywhere.

...so does that include those employed by a bloated Millitary Industrial complex and all the monies lavished upon them or wasted in the name of national defense?

Remember, they're government too, Rennel. and a lot of military personnel sit at desks all day and push paper and sharpen pencils too.

Yes, of course. Dwight Eisenhower explained that when you and I were just tiny children.

It's all puzzle pieces, Joe. Put them together.

Thing is, any US president who has tried to shrink the size of the US military always gets his agenda usurped by his successor, Rennel.

Eisehnower tried to cut back its size, but was overrriden by his successor.

And clinton did the same only to find the Military Industrail complex to come back with a vengeance under W Bush.

Even Trump wanted to downsize somewhat. but his desire to cut back your country's military commitments was met with hostility by war hawks/whores in the Pentagon. They appear to want war 24/7 non stop on time all the time. As far as they're concerned a bloated military is a good military.

Joe, please refer to poast #80 where I say: " ... States can only grow, and can never retract, and there comes a time in the life of a State when too great a percentage of the populace subsists upon the wealth confiscated from the productive in society that create all the wealth in the first place."

It can become quite tiresome to repeat oneself over and over again when the point has already clearly been stated.

Taxation is Theft.

Period.

End of story.

If you have anything to add that might bely that simple statement of truth, then make it, but don't make me explain again and again and again what I have already said.
