Illegal immigrants are taking the jobs most people here do not want. They are not competing in the middle class job market. No one who has applied for citizenship can be charged with a crime without facing incarceration followed by court ordered deportation. This argument against illegals is absurd. The people running drugs into this country are not trying to live here.

However, jeopardizing the rights of actual citizens via racial profiling is against the law.

Watch inflation as costs for everything go up. Not just ag labor, but construction, hospitality industry, childcare, restaurants, etc.

They also pay into Medicare and Social Security, funding for the seniors. It's going to have an impact.

There is no such thing as a 'law abiding' illegal immigrant. Coming here illegally in the first place voids the 'law abiding' thing pretty thoroughly.
Well its gonna cost your country upwards of $100 billion to deport 10 million illegal aliens. And instead of paying $7 per hour to migrants itll be $15 or more for an American worker which will inflate the prices of many products.

So unless they are replaced with prison labor at 13 cents an hour or decimating the labor force with robots, then you ought to expect a huge wave of inflation coming @Courier Six not to mention adding to your national debt with added cost of the deportations

It's going to be very expensive just to get rid of the scapegoat.

I guess we'll be going back to blaming "welfare queens" for our problems after that. Never will they hold the monied class and oligarchs responsible for not paying a fair share of taxes.

It's costing more than that to not deport them.

Which Americans will be better able to afford, since they'll be better paid.

Thank you. For some sick reason, I’m looking forward to seeing things fall apart. Apparently Trump was elected by the good people of the USA. Guess we’ll have to live it.

Considering the amount of taxes misspent on utterly ludicrous shit, maybe politicians should be held responsible for profligate spending.

I'm not looking forward to seeing the people living at or below the poverty line struggle, or middle class struggle either.
Getting rid of illegal aliens will not solve our problems.

That's fair, everyone should be audited. Most especially the Department of Defense.
Foreign aid, in particular, should be severely curtailed or even eliminated outright. We're not the planet's parent, and U.S. taxpayers are not the planet's piggybank. I can't think of any other country on Earth that just gives away hundreds of billions of dollars (in their equivalent currencies, obviously) to other countries the way our government does.

Most of that money is laundered through the military-industrial complex, and it ought to stop: entirely, indefinitely, and forth-fucking-with. The founders warned against military adventurism and foreign entanglements, and for good reason.

And do you honestly think the corporations want to pay American born workers more?

Thats why the illegals were in the US in the 1st place.

Places like Jack in the Box, Burger King & other corporate eating establishments were hiring thrm to keep their labor costs low so their customers could afford cheaper meals. So if the migrants were in the US illegally some large corporations were committing illegal acts by hirng them. I saw them at many fast foid joints in LA or San Diego

Do you think these corporations or wealthy families hiring them should also be convicted and fined @Courier Six?

Going after the employers would solve the problem more quickly and cost less. No jobs, they won't remain here.
Trump is a "reality tv" President. He'll most likely make these huge pronouncements, deport first the criminal element and then it will peter out.

And nothing will be that different. The immigration issue is red meat for the base. I wonder what they'll say 4 years from now when we're still surrounded by illegal immigrants. I really do. Who will they blame?

Foreign aid is a sliver of the federal budget. A sliver.

One dollar spent on prolonging a war between two other nations is one dollar too many. And how many billions, cumulatively, has Israel soaked the U.S. taxpayer for at this point, in exchange for nothing of equal value? Granted, that's not to say we haven't gained anything from the bargain -- we've gained the enmity of an entire region of the planet for it.

I agree wholeheartedly with that. They have to be accountable for that vote. In the not so long run, this might be just what the country needs in order to actually take it back...from the oligarchs, Sea.

It will be sad seeing those that will be impacted struggle. I can weather these storms. A lot of people can't.

I'm curious; how will you react if your prediction is wrong, and things either don't get worse -- or, in fact, improve?

We've maintained relatively cheap gas for it, actually. Cheap fuel has powered our economy.

Europeans have paid far more than we have for decades.

During Trump's first term, we were an energy exporter, proving that we don't need energy from that region at all.

I don't expect things to get cheaper if our labor costs and consumer products increase in prices. If they don't, I'd be happy. However, how do things get cheaper with cost of labor going up?

You explain the economics of that.

We remain an energy exporter at higher rates than even Trump's numbers.

As for that region, we will be there as long as AIPAC maintains a high level of control over Congress.
