That's why I'm very dubious when it comes to giving money to charities, especially ones that advertise on TV. Most big charities act like a business and have many employees who of course are paid like any other business, so your money will often go towards paying wages and other routes which aren't where you intended your money to go.

I only give to the dogs trust but you're right even they have paid staff along with the many volunteers, I tried to be a volunteer at the start of covid but they said they had overwhelming enquiries about it which puzzled me since they still have full time employees?
