My brother-in-law is a Scot from actually Scotland and he doesn't talk like that. I'm inclined to think that this Blandy fellow exaggerates his accent to impress chicks on the internets.

Don't make excuses for that drunken idiot. He's perfectly capable of typing out his incoherent messages. I've seen them as I scrolled by. He just discovered Vacaroo and being the lazy Pictish lowlander on public assistance he is, he just clicks one button and mumbles at the wall for 5 minutes and clicks another button to post the link.
He's a disgrace to frugal, hardworking Scots everywhere.

I don't fully articulate my points all the time because no one wants to read scroll bombs. I like listening to his point of view.
I don't think speaking for 10 minutes articulately is lazy. He makes his points and supports them.

As for accents being impacted by the people around you, you have no idea. I was sometimes told I sounded Chilean and my ex-husband sounded Mexican. See, he worked around a bunch of Mexicans and it changed his accent and his slang. I only really spoke Spanish around my Chilean in-laws, apparently I picked up their slang and accent.
It happens without us even realizing it.

I just strained my left eyeball rolling it. You've fallen for the accent, dear, that's so pathetically obvious. If you think marble-mouthed Blandy with his over-exaggerated brogue is "articulate," then I have to hand it to Blandy for his schtick to get chicks to pay attention to him online.

How do you know what he's saying if you're not listening to his vocaroos?
I listen to what he is saying and find I'm often in agreement with his points. Is that a crime because he has a Scottish brogue?

There is a young waitress from Scotland at one of the restaurant/bars that I play music. This sounds like the start of a Senile @Joe story. She has only been here a few months, and she is easy to understand.
Blandy does not just have an accent.
He is a sloppy drunk slurring his words.

I listened to selections. I can't get through an entire one. Some of them are like 5 minutes. I ain't gonna listen to five minutes of that inarticulate dullard. I kept finding myself stretching out my neck waiting as.......... he'd.......... pause .........waiting for next........ thought ........... to plop into his ...... brain.
That's what it's like listening to a Blandy Vacaroo.
