Big rains. Everyone will be very happy to know that I am safe and dry - warm too. My area was not so badly effected.

It's been a number of years since downtown Manhattan flooded like that. That was Hurricane Irene and tropical storm Lee, combined with high tide. That was 2011.

Oh - maybe Sandy was worse (2012).

I forgot about Sandy. I saw a couple of videos of water just running down the stairwell in the subway. I know most people would be knocked over if they were ascending/descending the stairs.

I saw that too. Then it will probably escape back to the sea.
