The situation isnt as simplistic as Trump thinks. Every action or inaction has its consequences

Just like making Gaza his personal resort would make it into a worse powderkeg than it already is

Trump has no foresight or understanding of world affairs

-Ukraine had kept its nukes

But now there is talk of France deploying its nukes if the US pulls its support from Ukraine making it an even more dangerous and volatile situation

You see by doing willy nilly or pulling out of Nato entirely Ttump is setting of a chain reaction of events the US may later regret @The Atomic Punk
Trump has no idea what he's doing. He thinks being a bully will solve everything.

I think Carville may be right.

I rarely watch Maher anymore, but happened to catch him with Rahm and Fareed Saturday, they had a good segment about The WH bad Hillbilly Kabuki, here's a small clip of it.

Rahm's right. Trump doesn't have no stinking mandate. But he's sure acting like he does.

So really nothing since our gdp is 25 trillion
Not the point, pal. There is a trade deficit for the US in the US/Portugal alliance. The US imports far more from Portugal than they export to Portugal. Like I said to begin with, Portugal does not need to US's aid.

After Friday, I wouldn't be surprised if US got kicked out of NATO, along with a path for Ukraine to join.

US is already out of the G7 summit coming up, and those tarriffs hit tomorrow.

Should be an interesting week.

But that being the case the US ought to tax its billionaire class like Musk so it can put more money in your pockets @Weeg . Wealth is poorly distributed in the United States. Top 5 billionaires own more than bottom 50% of Americans

As of 2024, the top 1% of US households own 30.8% of the country's wealth. This is a significant increase from 1989, when the top 1% held 22.8%.

Wealth of the top 1%
  • In 2023, the top 1% of American households had a total net worth of $43 trillion.

  • The top 1% own more wealth than the entire middle class.

  • The top 1% own nearly half of all private-company wealth, close to half of all corporate equities and mutual fund shares, and 12.9% of real estate wealth.
Wealth inequality in the US
  • The top 1% of households have a much higher average wealth than the average household.

  • The top 0.1% of households own 13.5% of the total wealth, with an average of more than $158 million per household.

  • The bottom 50% of households held 2.6% of the country's wealth as of Q4 2021.

Wealth and income
  • The top 1% of earners control more wealth than the entire middle class.

  • An individual would need an average income of $407,500 per year to join the top 1%.

The problem is trump doesn’t think…he has zero understanding of actins relationship to consequences. He has zero understanding of foreign affairs and has never read the constitution as he demonstrated when asked to read article 2 which he (it’s got too many big words he can’t understand or pronounce) yet frequently refers to

What is Article 2 in a few words -

The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

I guess felony convictions are ok

But keep in my mind that the millions of Americans living in Blue Tarps are only there because they are lazy drug addicted libtards.

The United States is not the policeman of the planet.

The US is not responsible for what other countries do and do not do.

The US is not responsible to pay to fix the problems of other countries.

So we’re the architects of some of the largest treaties in history, we have the largest military with more military bases around the world because we are NOT the leaders of the world???

No, the US is not the "leader of the world".

The US has done a lot to help other countries, but that participation is voluntary, which is something you fail to realize when you make such comments as to suggest that somehow it's a requirement.

There was a time when Little Zelensky Avatar Boy, aka Admin, was opposed to American Global hegemony. But being a Leftist, his principles are as fluid as the pus that drains from his Monkeypox sores, so when his betters tell him he now supports American Imperialism and the MIC, he claps like a trained seal and now sounds like a NeoCon warhawk.

Which clearly you missed.

Right of course the elected leader of the most powerful country on the face of the planet doesn't count because you don't think highly of him.

Got it.
