I'm of 2 minds about this. On the one hand, I don't like a NANNY GOOBERMINT making a bunch of woke rules about shit like this, when it's a personal decision and people like @SHAMPAIN and @Aryan (if they can ever afford to go out for a lobster dinner) should be able to decide for themselves what kind of joint to patronize. EVEN IF they wanna boil the poor crustaceans alive, I'd rather let them do it and feel smug and superior, rather than see them knuckle under to a government decree.

Besides, we humanoids did claw our way to the top of the food chain for a reason.

On the other hand, I have to wonder if any of those bureaucrats and MPs have ever toured a hog slaughterhouse, or watched calves being bled out to make that nice white VEAL they like so much. I'm pretty sure THOSE critters are "sentient" too. They sure act that way.
God says "Kill and eat". Problem solved.
So you have no problem with mass slaughter, battery hens and chickens being crammed into a buillding in there thousands? I'm not dissing hunting, that's the way meat should be got and considered a treat... Humans are cruel as fuck inmass production of sentient animals...
STFU, you sound like some vegan fuktard. Personally, I want my animals to free range as our families cows do. However, there's shitloads of people to feed. Make it profitable and preferred to free range all animals and watch it flourish.
Do I? I know you just want to shoot guns but I care deeply about animal suffering you fuckstick! I donate to the dogs trust and we need to end mass meat production, you ever tried impossible burgers with no meat content? they're delicious... You uppity dunce...
I'd ask you to tell me all about how those vegan burgers affect your health but its clear you bought into the bullshit.

Tell ya what, idiot. Look up all the propaganda on margarine vs REAL butter. They told us all that butter was the devil and margarine was good and healthy.

The
I like meat, but I do agree that these animals should be treated humanely in their life right up to their death. We've gotten better at this, but I'm sure there's still room for improvement. There are laws on the books regulating this industry, but you can't always count on big business doing the right thing when nobody is looking. They hire low wage immigrants who won't speak up, and will simply do as they're told.

The inspectors need to slap the bad players hard with fines and shutdowns.
Agreed. In America, its highly regulated, yet we still have some bad players. When they're caught, they're shut down. IMO, the best pork comes from a pig raised with the ability to run and not kept in a tiny pen. The ones kept in a pen have shit flavored meat.
In a pen? they're fucking cramped in metal walls and they all try to escape absolutely terrified because they smell the blood and hear the screams of other pigs, cows etc... You're saying that makes me a libtard for hating this, shows your mental...

You should probably learn what you are talking about before you go on rants. The gestistation pens exist for a very good reason, namely, the sows will roll over and crush their own piglets. If you let all the pigs roam free than the sows will run around trying to kill each other's piglets. In nature they either establish separate terroritories (which are quite large) or one simply kills the others until it controls the terrority. Naturally farmers don't want that thus the need for fenced in areas and gestation pens until the piglets are weened.

90% of the anti-farmer bull shit co.es from ignoramuses who know nothing about farming and worse won't even seek out what the other side has to say. I am certainly not a farmer but did take the time to try to hear the other side.

Too bad cunt. I've personally butchered hogs before. We'd put about 5 or 6 of them in a truck bed with a divided stake bed that had a gate. My uncle would let one through the gate to the other half and would shoot it through the top of the head with a .22 rifle. It would drop instantly and flail its legs. Then he'd hang its head off the bed after taking a set of stakes out, put a 5gal bucket under the head, and stick it in the neck with a sharp knife. It usually looked about like water from a garden hose. Then the hog got rolled off onto the table where we'd soak it in hot water and scrape the hair. All the other pigs watched the whole thing.

Now go have yourself a nice cry, pussy.
Would you do that to a dog "hard man"??

He said hog not dog. Yes, it is very com.on to shoot or trap wild hogs in the US as they are a highly destructive non-native species which breeds extremely quickly.

I dont eat dogs. A dog isnt a food animal unless you're a chank.
Whether it's food or not, a hog is still an animal so I'm asking if you would treat a dog like that??

Because they are a fucking destructive nuisance with no real preditors here. You have have to co trom their nu bers in the back country try or else they will do severe environmental harm as well as to destroy the livihoods of farmers. Hell, back in the 2010's the cou ty where I live in had to spend something like $50 on an eradication program after someone let a few dozen loose on purpose.

You should have posted the really real holocaust is a hoax video FIRST because I had to go to bed and once I heard hitlers comments about hunting being murder, I decided you were 100% full of shit.

Not at all. Watxh a youtube channel like "deer meet for dinner" who is out of Florida and has lots of hog hunting and trapping videos on his parent's ranch near Jupiter, FL. It is a vital effort to control hog populations because they are so destructive creating their wallows, feeding on or attacking native species of plants and animals, and even killing trees due to boars sharpening their tusks on trees and removing all the bark thus killing valuable timber or fruit trees. Even timber trees land owners can sell for thousands of are per tree if it is the right tree while many growers base their mivwlihood on seing fruit in Florida.

You will see they try to do it humanly, often they don't even kill the trapped boars and I stead just geld them to stop them from breeding when they do kill them state laws require clean shots to the head to minimize suffering. The meat is always either eaten, given to friends, or donated to charities while the hides are sold to tanners as hog pelts make good boots as the hides are thick. Even the bones get sold to fertilizer makers who grind it up into bone meal which is then spread on farmers fields. So very little is wasted.

Also remember that in the south, especially in Florida and Texas breeding season is year round so a single female has on average a litter of 10 piglets every 3-4 months. That is 30-40 baby hogs per female per year so in three months you easily have 4-6 times as many pigs on your property even if half die. That is rat levels of breeding. The young females can easily start breeding in just six months of age.

So you're saying that you're that poor you have to hunt for food? lolol what a fail...

Most hunters are actually wealthy, especially in blue states, because the cost of firearms, ammo, licenses, tags, travel costs, lodging, etc... Add up very fast. Many people pay $10,000 to enter the raffle to get get a bear tag (you must already have bought a hinting license, which can cost thousands per year in itself, before you are allowed to enter a raffle for a tag) where only around 10% will actually get a single bear tag. No, the 90% who didn't get a tag do not get their $10,000 back. They are just shit out of luck.

Now consider your bear tag might only be good in one county 700 miles away from your home and is only good for a two to four week period. If you don't use it then you lose it. So you can spend additional thousands going there and staying at a lodge yet never actually shoot a bear. He might have spent a total of $20,000-$30,000 yet never actually bagged a bear. Don't get me started about how people with tags cannot trade them or sell them nor even transfer them to family members. The whole system is fucked and stacked for the wealthy against average people.

Oh, and don't even get me started about how Democrats and far left Ecco extremists are currently trying to get all hunting banned in the state of California. They claim it is to help fight "climate change" as if exploding deer and hog populations doesn't damage the environment in and of itself. These same leftists will eventually declare that dear and hog populations have gotten too large and that the state will need to hire professional hunters costing millions of dollars in order to cull the population.

Hunters would actually pay the state good money for the chance to go out and do it themselves.

I know culling is necessary for some species, over here there are far too many deer so they get culled and people from other countries spend a lot of money to come and hunt them... As I said, being quickly despatched is one thing but letting them suffer is another...

As for the food aspect... One 300lb hog easily yields 200lbs of meat. A 160 pound deer might give you 100lbs. An 80 lb big horn sheep might give 50 lbs? A 300lb alligator might be 150 pounds of meat? That is a lot of valuable meat which one doesn't have to buy from a store.

Yeah but he seemed proud about it and the slaughter of it... I'm not having a go at the practice of hunting but he comes across like sadist...
You're a stupid fuck. Proud about it? Most of you soft cunts never had to kill for what you eat and its made you softer than baby shit.
So you're saying that you're that poor you have to hunt for food? lolol what a fail...
I grew up poor, ya fuktard. As a family, we would go to the family farm in Missouri and butcher hogs every year and eat for a year off the meat, then repeat the following November. Now, I only kill animals that are pests. The cows we eat from my father in laws farm are butchered at a local processor. If my father in law asked me, you bet your ass I'd shoot a cow in the head and butcher it. I learned how to do this work by the time I was 13.

Look, I only give a shit about animal welfare... If they're quickly despatched then fine but barbaric traps and little fat jews like lokbrain relishing in death fucks me off...
Dipshit, hogs arent koshur and the cows we eat arent butchered by a rabbi. OI VEY!!!

It's way better to buy a cow for slaughter from local farmers than purchase tortured meat from grocery stores......animals are horribly abused in meat manufacturing places.

They are also full of cancer and all kinds of nasty shit.

I dont eat pork at all......outside of occasional bacon. None of us really like it and pigs eat disgusting shit. I wont eat animals that eat the shit pigs eat.....or animals that eat other animals.

Cow, deer, chicken and fish. Preferable obtained from local farmer and hunts.

I didnt know that was a poor person thing. I find it better and cleaner. When I grew up poor my grandma bought cheap beef in a tube lol. We couldnt have afforded to hunt. Or purchase cows.

I do the cooking so I shouldnt have to kill the animals.....let the man handle that lol. I could if i had to, but i married for a reason lol.

I don't even agree that is true. As soon as the cows enter the doors they get a bolt to the head which is an instant kill. How is that not humane? It really sounds like you don't know what you are talking about and are just repeating propaganda lies from the lying hypocrites at PETA. Hell, PETE'S animal shelters kill virtually all the animals brought to it so they don't even follow their own bull shit.

I grew up around a bunch of hillbilly Missouri types. They raised hogs and grew corn and soybeans on the farm where we butchered. They also hunted deer, sometimes poaching it to feed themselves.

My step dad told me a new game warden was fucking with some of the backwoods locals back in the 70's. Apparently they were living off the land and poached everything to survive. They never found that game warden.

Anyway, The pork from those hogs was so much better than what comes off a factory farm. I still like to eat pork steaks occasionally but I have to soak it for hours in strong brine to make it taste decent.

PETA is a disgusting scam. They are cruel to animals.

Yeah I was poor in metro Detroit lol. Not a lot of options and grandmother could NOT cook so the cheap tube meat came to the plate as a rubbery hockey puck with cooked onions on it lol

Major changes were implemented into the beef industry 10+ years ago. They focused on ensuring "downer" cows dont get processed, a reduction in the loud noises usually associated when cows are brought in for processing, and trying to ensure that the cows arent aware of whats happening to them. As far as the cow knows, its being transported to the next truck.
