Got my flu shot and COVID booster a few days ago. I woke up today with big abdominal pain and dizziness that won't seem to go away despite taking the Advil. Don't know if the symptoms are related to the injections because I've felt this way before.

If I go the ER I'll be sitting there for like 8 hours as a non-emergency. Our hospitals here run a real tight ship. There are so many who show up in there for stupid reasons like a black eye, too much to drink or took too many pills. I know from experience because I used to be one. I once took 60 Gravol/Dramamine one night to get high and it tightened my muscles up so much I couldn't urinate, but since I didn't have enough urine in my bladder to be considered an emergency. I sat there for like 6+ hours and finally got a catheter. I know that this is a different thing but still they won't do anything. You have to be really messed up to get taken seriously.

Well, I do agree that people shouldn't go to the doctor's for stupid reasons, like a cold or a black eye.
Can you call in to an advice nurse? We have those here. You call in and they ask a series of questions. If they think you should be seen, they'll make sure you are...

I thought about how often you're high, after you said you experienced this before. I wonder if it's related. I don't know if you eat gummies or smoke. But thought...could that be it?

I don't smoke cigarettes anymore but yeah, my diet sucks and I light up almost every day. I eat a lot of surgary foods but never gummy foods. Before my doctor retired my blood tests showed no signs of diabetes but that doesn't mean I should be eating so carelessly either. I think what I need is a little more self-discipline.

Just do the easy stuff first, cut out processed foods, for example.
Make it easy on yourself, buy pre-cut veggies for example...a lot of people don't like prepping, saves time.

You're welcome. I used to try to change a lot of things all at once. It becomes overwhelming. I have been successful by taking baby steps and making them pretty permanent changes. I'm not yet where I want to be, but I'm well on my way.
