So as part of Squish getting homeschooled....we are focusing on growing things all summer.
The Seamonkeys flopped but the painted lady butterflies is awesome.
We got the habitat and received 4 caterpillars a week later.
Here are the caterpillars right before they pupated
And today we have two (so far) that emerged and we still have two more that are still chrysalides
The second one is only about 30 minutes old and still stretching its wing are "hardening". They are both communing on the sugar water sponge
The white chunks are small pieces of banana. The red stuff that looks like blood is butterfly meconium (new born poopy)
And her own garden she planted is actually growing really well.
That's just onions, tomatos and some sort of herb, I dont remember what lol.
