.. Just reminded me that Rickie Lee Jones said in an interview that she was nearly (likely) kidnapped as a young girl, saved by her alert mother's call to come in, chasing off the would-be napper.
..I myself thought I was being kidnapped once though it turned out to be a misunderstanding about where I wanted to be let out while hitchhiking. One truly frightening moment.
Ricky Lee, I just now read, lived in Venice CA just about the same time I did. I do not recall seeing her there.
