"What are you talking about!?" interjected Trump. "What are you talking about? You know, you ought to get out of here. What does this have to do with a Qatari jet? Uh, they're giving the United States Air Force a jet, okay? And it's a great thing. We're talking about a lot of other things."
Earlier today, a Defense Department spokesman confirmed that the Trump administration had formally accepted a 747 jet as a "gift" from the government of Qatar. Clearly, they're hoping that it will influence Trump towards tilting U.S. foreign policy in their favor.
"It's NBC trying to get off the subject of what you just saw. You are a real— You know you're a terrible reporter?" Trump continued. "Number one: You don't have what it takes to be a reporter. You're not smart enough."
"But for you to go into a subject a jet that was given to the United States Air Force, which is a very nice thing, they also gave $5.1 trillion worth of investment in addition to the jet," he went on.
"Go back... You ought to go back to your studio at NBC because Brian Roberts and the people that run that place they ought to be investigated," said Trump. "They are so terrible the way you run that network and you're a disgrace. No more questions from you!"
Trump then moved on to a question from another reporter but doubled back to say: "His name is Peter something, he's a terrible reporter."
The outburst came during a meeting with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa. Once again we see Donald Trump behaving like an overgrown man-child in front of a foreign leader inside the Oval Office. When will our nation's public humiliation end?
