Yes, I have. There are some exceptions, LOTR, Harry Potter...but those may be about the only two that I can name.

I do enjoy some like Pan's Labyrinth, where there is a deeper story, really darker with a meaningful lesson about humanity and the human condition.

I actually don't know what that means. After my divorce, I learned to make first dates, coffee dates. Just long enough to get a feel for the person and not be committed to more than an hour.

One of my worst first dates was a man that was probably the most boring man that I ever encountered. There was a clock over his head and I kept thinking "Don't look at the clock, don't look at the clock." He didn't have a sense of humor that I could identify, he talked about himself as if he had lists and categories in his head...

I had my coffee, he didn't ask me about me much. I thanked him for the meet. He asked me if we could perhaps go out to dinner. I declined politely but firmly. I don't think we make a good match. I don't play games with people and string them along. It's disrespectful. But damn, it was the longest cup of coffee of my entire life.

I actually agree on the coffee date thing. Dinner is a commitment and you dont wanna be held hostage by someone who just wants to discuss themselves at you and have you echo all their thoughts back. And has no interest in you as a person.
