That guy was an idiot.
You could tell by the reaction of the crowd that his comments were not appreciated or supported.
I bet it was a bit of a conundrum for the people in charge...take him off the stage or let him stay? Personally, I would have taken him off the stage and announced that his material was not welcome. But so many people are dumb, so a lot of voters would say "Duh, I thought we love the free speech!! I so confused now..."
This is a problem with allowing so many stupid people to vote. The Republicans have to make sure the stupid supporters stick with them. The Democrats prey on having a lot of stupid, gullible supporters who suck up their propaganda with no questions.

“It is not sufficient for your campaign to apologize,” the archbishop added directly to Trump. “It is important that you, personally, apologize for these comments.”

She may just have little experience with the English language being from Portugal. I will endeavor to be more direct and simple in style with my writing.
It's got nothing to do with being literal, ShabbilyGaslighting. It has to do with being honest and not being a slithering snake trying to create division by refusing to be clear.
Says the guy who thinks "had wrote" is correct English. Maybe look up how to use the past perfect tense correctly and try to figure out how to use you own language from there. You're welcome for the tip.
