Sure I do.

I knew this was coming for decades. I wrote computer software 30 years ago that was "putting people out of work". I was familiar with robotics and other technologies that increase manufacturing efficiency and lessen the labour needs.

I saw this coming before I heard anyone talk about it. And I started to think about what needs to be done.

I think I even mentioned it on this message board in the past.

I have been talking about this problem for years...even on this site:

The entire system is broken. A 40 hour work week makes no sense with the technological advancements we have made. This has caused an excess of workers. With an excess of workers, jobs are in high demand and companies can pay less. People blame the companies, but their goal is to make profit. The middle class is being squeezed down into the lower class.

There are less good paying blue collar jobs like manufacturing jobs because of automation. That should be a good thing, but instead of using those workers in new, innovative ways, we have taken them and put them into jobs like working at McPukes - jobs that used to be filled by teenagers.

I am not even touching on the fact that 40 years ago people with a little less than average intelligence were steered into factory jobs and they were satisfied - even happy - but now, because there are less factory jobs, they are steered into college programs like Liberal Arts programs and when they graduate and wind up doing menial labour they resent it. A large percentage of the population being whiny and disgruntled is not a good thing. See: ANTIFA.

It is a complex problem. If you pay McPuke workers more, it will end up coming out of the customer's pockets. Those are the pockets of the low and middle class. It is self-defeating. If and when the fast food industry shrinks, it will be the lower class jobs that are lost.

The problem is not as simple as just paying fast food employees $15/hour. That will change nothing in the big picture and we are dealing with big picture problems.

But as you see by the messages that followed, the people here are not ready or able to have meaningful discussions.

My intelligence is not in question. My IQ exceeds 150. This has been tested by professionals. It is common knowledge among people who know me that I am a genius.

Having a high IQ does not make you a genius you poutine stuffing wharf rat, mine is north of 170 and I probably am a genius not that a cluster B narcissistic slap head with a turbo charged midlife crisis like you would be able to notice.

Also the common knowledge among people who know you who are not in the mental profession is that when its your turn in the barrel they are likely to have theirs nuts sucked out through the end of their dicks due to your over excitedness. So take a chill pill and sit the fuck down slappy, nobody cares how much you pay for a buff and shine job down at the barbers.

. It isn't just for muscles.
If not developed/nourished early, talents and interest potential will wane.
Not to say things can not be taken up later in life but there is no learning as in youth.

I was being a little disruptive in about grade 10 and the school shrink sent me for a barrage of tests including an IQ test.

That is why I took an IQ test the first time.

In addition to the IQ test, they did brain scans and blood work and a bunch of tests at the hospital.

It turned out that everything was fine. I was just really, really smart.

They gave me the option to attend a special school for gifted people, but I declined.


What some people might think is kinda cool is that there were 3 or 4 of us who took the IQ test at the same time. One of the other people was future World Heavyweight Champion Lennox Lewis. I think they were probably getting a baseline of his IQ so they could test more as his boxing career progressed. I guess he was watching me during the test because he came up to me after and said something like "Did you really know all those answers? I saw you writing the whole time..." or something like that.
