I'm not. But my best friend is.

He says that most of the things we dream about our not really about the people in our dreams. It's about our own internal struggles.

Yes, that is often true. But they certainly can also be about the people we're dreaming about if we are trying to work out things with that particular person. But symbology is a huge part of dreams, and often the people are there to represent something symbolically.

I find dreams to be extremely educational.

Well, this thread got hijacked and completely devolved very quickly. Thanks, guys. I always appreciate when posters participate in intelligent conversation here. :Happy5:

I think most level headed people are prepared. After all we're surrounded by 'Murica.

The people that wear diapers, maxi pads on their ears, garbage bags...the cult is mighty powerful.
People who use the term "Murica" always seem to hate the America I grew up in. They are all verminous, Leftist scum who do not deserve the Liberty that better men and women gave their lives for to secure for them.

That's Freedom, though. Once the Blessings of Liberty are secured by the best among us, even those who do not deserve them benefit from those blessings.

Enjoy the Blessings of Liberty, Registered Democrat swine scum. We who are better than you are re-securing those blessings for you today.

TRUMP!

What is dream theater?
. It is you might say a meditation in which you visualize a theater stage onto which you invite the players in/of a dream and ask them what they wanted to tell you. It's important not to presume/anticipate the answers. In other words, to an extent then you have to stop your analytical mind from working ahead of the messages.
. Not so easy in practice.

I have a lot of false awakenings. Whenever I have those, something very significant comes up in my dreams.

I don't know if I can turn off my analytical mind enough to do this dream theater thing. Is that from Blavatsky?

No it isn't.
. You could try dream swimming pool, and imagine the characters nekked and glistening wet in the sun if that is any help. I wake several times a night from dreams (or out of rather than because of) some I recall after fully awaking others not. Mostly these days I'm happy if I do wake and don't feel too bad. Then I have coffee and go for a hike then come home and read or watch a ballgame and play darts. Yes, it's very hard to turn off the part of us (the lower mind) which we most identify as ourselves.

Yeah, sure. Dream swimming pool. Ill try that.

Honestly, though, I am just curious about false awakenings and lucid dreaming. I have always had vivid and interesting dreams, most of which I can interpret pretty well using more of a Jungian approach to symbolism, but this false awakening stuff is crazy.

When I was much younger I made some efforts in astral body projection...some success. These may be momentary awakenings into nocturnal travels which I have also had. See if you can recognize that you are not awake (physical body) and direct your movements.

I know that's an interesting idea, but the thing is, the stuff that happens during the false awakening is usually quite incredible. I like just letting that happen. The mystery to me is why I am having so many of them lately. It's always really really difficult for me to wake up in the dream. it's always a big struggle, and then when I do wake up there's an incredible lesson following. I feel like I'm being made to wake up in the dream precisely so I will remember the dream -- and I do, in vivid detail.

Well then, you are getting what you want from it and maybe all you are meant to for the present.

Yes. But my question is why is it happening so frequently now. It's weird. Not that I expect you to know. Just something I'm throwing out there. Dreams are a big deal to me.
