Oh, but I'm so crazy because I choose to remain open-minded about the possibility...
Who is accusing you of being crazy because you are entertaining the idea that we are not the end all to life in an infinite universe?

Even majorities of earth's religions are on record admitting to the existence of extraterrestrial life. Sure they describe it in manners which might be considered odd to some but that is only because they are reading it from transcriptions authored centuries ago authored by persons without the ability to describe what they were saying with the same color and clarity we are today.

The existence of Extraterrestrials is highly probable. Definite in you are one who believes the bible is of divine authorship.

That's a theory. No proof of that, at all. I deal in facts.

Yeah, I found it weird to present those ideas as what appeared to be an attempt at a list of facts.

I found that weird too. No reasonable person would consider that crazy.

All I know is trying to terraform Mars is crazy talk!
We might find common ground in the thought that NOW is not the time for such an endeavor as there are far more important things to get done. Like undoing all of Biden's complete disaster of presidency.

But do you not think it is wise for mankind as a whole to explore the vastness of our universe in search of planets capable of sustaining life, or at least lending themselves appropriately to the process of terraforming, should things go airy on this planet?

Is your objection timing or principle?

I haven't decided on whether that's wise or not.

According to the world of astrophysics, Earth will cease to exist at some point after our Sun goes poof. I sort of accepted that human life will be no more at that point. It's man's ego that wants us to continue to exist. However, it's not up to me.

I do believe that rather than spending the resources to get to Mars, we fix our messes here. I don't think it will be more complex, or expensive, to clean up after ourselves as to get to Mars.

Agreed.

We have more to worry about here at home than interstellarly. But it would be wise none-the-less at some point to invest some resources into finding alternative worlds to inhabit as we are not the only threat to this planet despite being the most active one at the moment.

Two things can be done at the same time.

You should know. You eat and type at the same time all day.

The end goal is not terraforming on Mars. That is just for experience. Just another step in the right direction.

Terraform Earth. What a wAcKy concept.

Of course, you're right that stars have finite lifespans. Still, learning to terraform the planet next door might prove valuable as a proof-of-concept before we pack up the van and try to do it in a different star system.
