DEI isn't a "philosophical difference". It's a deleterious policy set which promotes identity over competence; it's also no longer policy. Trump is ensuring policy compliance, which as POTUS he is perfectly authorized to do.

I didn't mind as I knew people continued to work & came down with COVID-19.
A few even died.
I actually consider myself lucky that I never came down with COVID during the Pandemic.
and I credit the directives of government and health officials which prevented me from catching it.
But some people think otherwise.
