I needed something to stand out on my resume after college, so I got employment with Médecins Sans Frontières, commonly known as Doctors Without Borders. I was an IPC manager in Basrah, and in Jahra.
I got to know the culture and talked to many Middle Eastern people during those 9 months.
That's quite brave. But with all that experience you still think I'm middle Eastern. Lol @ you

Quite frankly I could care less what you are or aren't. The one making a big fuss about what you look like and where you're from is you.
No, not really brave. I never went unto the field, I was purely office with an air conditioner, and with at least a unit of U.N. Peace Keepers along with whatever local law enforcement was readily available in Iraq. In Kuwait is where we staged, there was never any threat in Kuwait. I had a sat phone with the Canadian and American Consulate numbers already programmed in to it.

All the red dye is, is crushed up mites. Crushed mites and chemicals. Probably carcinogenic.
You just can't think too deeply about stuff like that.....especially if you are a high anxiety person like me. You'll never eat anything again unless you grow it yourself or buy it from a farmer, and that isn't always practical or easy.
I went through that for years lol.
