Recognizing that Trump is a disaster doesn't mean that anyone thought things were great before Trump, there have been Americans that have protested the staus quo for decades.

What we're dealing with is a system in which the powerful have manipulated all the institutions. People haven't been truly hungry enough in this country to want to fight back. They've allowed the streets to be flooded with drugs and alcohol. The "minorities" are convenient scapegoats. So many other factors, including a shitty educational system.

It wasnt until "eggs" and "inflation" that Americans really started paying attention. The most uninformed joined the wealthy class to send Trump back to the WH. Somehow it was all Biden's fault.

Perhaps we've never had a democracy, but we often fought for it.

Trump 2.0 has made one thing clear, he's said "Hold my beer."

Making him, like it or not, a more accurate representative of 'Murica than some hypocritical wankstain who constantly says they're for good things then does bad things but slowly enough that people get accustomed to the horror before the next cup of accelerant is poured on this dumpster fire of a nation.

Trump, by being unburdened with decorum or subterfuge, has shown the true face of 'Murican governance and if the response to that is demand we return to brunch under a slightly less rude servant of empire and oligarchy then what's the fucking point?

When even confronted with Trump, embodying more evidence of 'Murica's rot than anyone should ever need, people still refuse to abandon the duopoly that brought us here then we deserve Trump and all the rabid ghouls who will follow him into the role of focusing voters' anger at one villain rather than at the system that spawns, incubates, and elevates villains.

'Muricans want to fix a blown engine by polishing a hubcap and it's both the most infuriating and hilarious thing I've ever seen.

It is worse. I feel the "illegal immigrant " debacle at a level many other Americans do not. We have this administration detaining American citizens of Latino descent now.

Muslim Americans who voted for Trump out of justifiable anger at Biden are dismayed. It's worse. The crisis in the Middle East and Gaza is worse. It can always get worse.

Trump is worse, he is also profiting and investing in horrible policy to further enrich himself.
