There is the one advantage in being Jewish. Jews can go to "heaven" without having to believe in any of it.
There is no heaven and there ain't no hell. And there isn't any bearded dude in the sky or horned guy under the ground.

This is the only life we get, so try not to mess it up too badly.

I basically believe the same thing. I'm just saying that the bar for entry into heaven in Judaism is fairly interesting.

I don't have a clue about Judaism and I'm good with it. I'd rather waste my time here with all this meaningless back and forth arguing than learn about any of that.

How was this post about Wizer's mother's passing when he was an adolescent funny? You haven't explained.
Did you stroke out?
I was sort of wondering about that too. I guess he thought I was making some sort of morbid joke however you realized I was being serious.

@Lily's gained 2 points in her last 2 posts. First she says she's not religious and now this?

I don't think I can argue with her anymore.

Please don't stop arguing with me. It's been fun.

What are you basing that on wizer?

I do like learning about different religious tenets. Religion is common across almost all ethnicities, tribes, basically peoples across the planet.

It seems to be an inherent part of the human condition. I like learning.

That being said, I do believe heaven or hell is basically between our ears and how we navigate the one life we have.

It's interesting, as my former mother-in-law said to me once, there is no heaven or hell, when we die, we go to eternal rest. She had a hard life. And she had been a fairly devout Catholic, but near her end, she had different ideas.

So who do you think created the planets, humans and animals? Mungo Jerry?
They didn't come from some bearded dude in the sky that ignores prayers and drowns campers in floods, that's for damn sure.

Believe whatever you want including your obsession with a bunch of Ape like humans that live in groups in the woods that no one has ever seen despite the proliferation of satellites and trail cameras.

I wonder what changed her mind. Maybe we can try it out on @Alticus

Jesus isn't The Father. Not even close. You sound to me like a man who was dealt a bad hand in life and is bitter.

I wasn't refering to jesus. Isn't god always depicted as some bearded dude in the sky with a robe? My dealt hand has nothing to do with the idiocy that is religion.

It was when I first started losing respect for @Alticus, for whom I had a higher opinion of prior to his rant about BigFoots being all around us. It was all downhill from there.
So my views on Bigfoot is what caused you to have a lower opinion of me?
