Our bacon is anything but. We have no more butchers in our city that I'm aware of so we haven't got a whole lot of choices except the grocery stores.

I've never bought bacon from a butcher. It's not reallt a Portuguese thing. They eat presunto. I only see bacon at supermercados.

It tastes like bacom -- to me -- but it is so thin when you cook a strip, it ends up about 1/3 the size. Like one bite per strip.

Yeah I know the stuff, its delicious but you need significant amounts to satisfy the bacony cravings.

What did you say if you did, that its called in Portugal?
