I was sent to a military boarding school for 4 years. We did PT as a platoon every day, I hit the gym after study hall at night. I could hold a quarter between my flexed pecks and joined the Army.
That's me leaving basic training, I was 17. We all had to do a final PT test to make sure we were fit enough to be soldiers: 2 minutes for push-ups, 2 minutes for sit-ups, then came the timed 2 mile run.
The drill sergeant counting my push-ups officially scored 73 of them, despite me knocking out more. What a dick.
He counted all 96 of my sit-ups; some nigger pumped out 111 - it wasn't a new record but damn close.
Then came the damn run. My time was shitty for my age group, just over 14 minutes for 2 miles. I think someone snuck his time in just under 12 minutes.
So yes, I could max scores for my age group in 2 of the 3, but ran like a 30 year old woman with asthma. That meant I didn't get to wear a special patch on my PT rags when a few older people got to despite their official numbers. That's why I'm such a mad person to this day...
