I am also skeptical about the timing of all these allegations, especially this latest one coming almost at the deadline for Platner to dropout and enough time for someone else to try and replace him on the left side of the aisle.

I think it was someone in the Democratic party who did this to remove Platner while they could so he is not a liability during the midterms. Better to give Platner the heave ho now rather than later before it's too late.

I think Platner condemned Israel publicly so you may have a point because he stated that the US needs to divorce itself from them.
