@Dove have you considered a career in Bobble Heading?

Have you similarly bought a new oversized vehicle to compensate for your own mid life crisis @Frood ?

I bought a new Ford Ranger diesel dual cab in my forties... it was a lovely vehicle but I got rid of it during one of our rodent plagues. I couldn't keep the motherfuckers out.

how much is she charging? i mean i'd throw her a few bucks for a couple hours of work. she obviously needs. just look at her pics of her home and herself. yikes but i can help her.. save her.

We have a 2026 GMC Terrian.

Took me a while to adjust to the controls in it, get used to not using a key, not thinking about the head lights, everything being like a touch pad. The camera view in reverse.

It was fucking weird. Im used to it now though lol

I heard this song on my way to the river today, couldn't understand the lyrics due to poor reception. It immediately reminded me of Duhv. Actually I sensed something of a religious revivalism. It's a pretty song.
...but why, remind me of Duhv? Anyone....@Dove

No idea.

I may or may not be headed to Toronto this week because Sublime is playing there on Thursday, which is also my birthday. Expensive tickets....but its Jakob Nowell (Bradly Nowells son) fronting and its incredible how much he looks and sounds like his father. Its eerie and kind of healing.

My daughter has been dying to drag me out to a concert and she came to me with this and ....we are probably gonna call off work the rest of the week and head on up there lol.

Ewww.... you listen to the radio??? Next you'll tell us is that you have a TV with an antenna plugged in..

Shameful stuff.... unplug! Soothe your soul.

RIP Sublime and the crowd they will be all tortured to death with this ones ridiculous life stories.

Sublime lives on ♡

Jakob grabbed the torch and is nailing it.

Even has a doggo on stage just like his dad with Lou dog lol.

If i had heard this without knowing id have thought it was just an old live Sublime performance before Bradly died.

Yes, we have radio stations here in the USofA. Fact !

But you listen to that shit.... (I'm not saying Australian or American or any other country's terrestrial radio is any better than each other. It's all SHIT)... Just saying the quiet part out loud.

Terrestrial radio and television broadcasts are mind pollution.

Ive been pissed at the radio ever since they played Pearl Jam on the classic rock station.

What the fuck lol

I don't listen to the type of radio station you are thinking of. It isn't single genre and virtually no modern crap.
..but since you're being a bitch about it I won't share it with you.
You can just sit there and remain unenlightened.

Could be worse.... they play Kylie Minogue and Savage Garden on the classic rock stations here.

Yesterday my daughter came with me on a job and I was explaining to her that Courtney Love ripped and was fucking awesome and the only reason she got so much hate was misogyny

Because Hole came on the classic rock station LoL

I never much cared for her.... she did a brief stint in Faith No More and got chucked out.

Her solo stuff sucked balls too.

We have some sort of satellite radio in our car.

You can turn that on or have regular Detroit radio stations.

I grew up to our Detroit stations so im attached to them. My mom worked for one when I was a child and she took me to some event where I hung out for a few hours with Boy George.

I didnt even know he was famous. I completely swooned. He reminded of my Rainbow Bright doll and he was so warm and fun. I sat on his lap and he put make up on me, i felt so cool.

MTV wasnt allowed in our house when I was a kid (my grandma fell for the satanic panick pretty bad).....but my mom called me to the living room when one of his videos was on and said "Look, its your friend Mr George" and I was just floored.

I have a specail place in my heart for the Culture Club.

It’s been longer than I care to remember, but I remember my stunned surprise when I looked at the Top Ten song list in the large entertainment section of the Friday paper and didn’t recognize a single act. wtf? But then I was working 60 plus hours a week, so…the outside world became a blur

How many cocks were you sucking per hour?

Happy early birthday, @Dove s.

I listen to terrestrial radio all the time. We still have a few great stations. WXRT 93.1 FM is the gold standard for good curated music content. We have a few other formula classic rock stations, but I don't tune into those much. We also have the coolest classical music station WFMT 98.7 FM that also has the long running "Blues Breakers" show on Saturday nights (7-9 CST) and the famous "Midnight Special" (9-midnight CST) that plays a lot of blues and obscure singer/songwriter stuff. You can stream it on the internets, but I know folks in the Detroit area can pick it up sometimes.

I had that same experience not that long ago myself.

My kids keep me exposed to whatever qualifies as "top 10" but I can barely tell you who the big pop stars are today.

I dont know if its my age or not, but it all feels so marketted today.

I think Chappel Roan is interesting. Shes got an 80s vibe i havent felt since...well...the 80s lol.

My youngest LOVES her Pink Pony Club song and plays it A LOT.

My soon to be 21 year old is the one who is super into the kind of music I grew up on. She also goes to A LOT of local shows and loves what she calls "Midwestern emo" lol.
