Yes, I know people are stupid, that's why government at this point in human evolution (when most people are stupid) have to make decisions for them. One fine day, in the many distant future when conservatism isn't as rampant as it is today, people will be able to make decisions not based only on their selfish considerations but on the considered benefit to those of the greater community/humanity.

...and the guidelines offered, which were guidelines, could be adopted by private businesses and communities or not.

The more people who were NOT impacted at all by mandates dismiss this like its just acceptable collateral damage that so many people entire lives were destroyed the more they show none of this was anyone's good.
