So what? Much more of it ends up in thrifts shops and is resold and reused in 3rd world shit holes. They get used and reused then eventually thrown away when they are no longer good.

Yeah. The problem is they end up in landfills all over the world. Most of it doesn't get used and reused. It's a huge problem, and if you were a reader of factual info you would probably know about this very big issue.
There's also a problem with the sold clothing that gets quickly discarded because it's so cheap, customers may wear it only a few times and then get rid of it.
There is a problem recycling many materials if they are blended and use different types of fabric. If it is 100% one fiber type (including the stitching) then it can be done. The big problem is labor cost as even countries like Bangladesh are getting too expensive so it is just cheaper to toss it at that point. Economics gets in the way of leftist dreams yet again.
Pure cotton stuff does get recycled even after the clothing is no longer usable. Often cut into rags and turned into shop raga or what not.
Someone could make a ton of money by selling that on Ebay.
Anything you get is pure profit.

I'd say 95% of fast fashion is not pure cotton.
Economics don't get in the way of leftist dreams. They get in the way of sound environmental policy, which is not a leftist dream, but a necessity for everyone.
Fukin boo hoo! Burn that shit, problem solved!
I should be able to build a clothes fired power plant and become a billionaire in 1 year by supplying cheap power to the people!Fukin boo hoo! Burn that shit, problem solved!
We should get them to drop it in front of your house and burn all that polyster right there. You could roast marshmallows in the flames.
Fast fashion gets dumped everywhere:

In total, up to 85% of textiles go into landfills each year. That's enough to fill the Sydney harbor annually.
Globally, an estimated is created each year and the equivalent to a ends up on landfill sites every second. By 2030, we are expected as a whole to be discarding more than .
“The current fashion system uses high volumes of non-renewable resources, including petroleum, extracted to produce clothes that are often used only for a short period of time, after which the materials are largely lost to landfill or incineration,” says Chetna Prajapati, who studies ways of making sustainable textiles at Loughborough University in the UK.

And....?
Anybody can post an article and quot from it or paraphrase something in it.
Do you have any insight or original thought on the subject?

Any comment on that, LettuceButt?
Do you think something like that is doable?
Can you think of any upsides and downsides to it?
Anything?

Good afternoon, Einstein Jr. Thanks for your comment and question. It's always good to be challenged.
I post things like this to inform people. I know the idea of learning something new and even thinking about it for a minute or two is triggering for you, but you can just skip over it, and we will leave it here for people who actually do appreciate knowledge and information. You are free to go look at pics of necrophiliacs or go pay to fuck with someone's avatar.
Tchau tchau.

Well, yes. Most of those clothes are made with polyester. That's a very toxic burn.
Thanks for thinking, though!
Produced? Polyester itself is highly toxic. Did you not know that? Burning it releases the toxins into the atmosphere. Same with nylon and acrylic.I should be able to build a clothes fired power plant and become a billionaire in 1 year by supplying cheap power to the people!Fukin boo hoo! What toxins are produced?
Are there ways to capture these toxins before they are released to the environment?
