The problems in the state's ports and trucking system are 100% caused by stupid regulations which the Democrat one party political system created in recent years. They are unwilling to fix the problems they created mostly because big corrupt unions, which Democrats depend upon, want these economically destructive regulations to continue as they block competition for those special interests.

It is nice that Democrats have figured out their defund the police and soft on crime policies have been a disaster. It is nice that they are finally refunding police departments but that isn't enough. They have to repeal prop 48 which decriminized all of this crime. Until there are consequences the organized crime will continue and that means prop 48 has to go.

Texas doesn't seem like a socially free state.
There'll always be people flocking to or wanting to live in California vs Texas.
People just go to Texas for the jobs but if their economy went into the tank many would leave.
California is still superior to Texas in most respects.
