Race in the US

I will be posting videos/articles about racial strife and hopefully racial reconciliation on this thread.

I will start with Isabel Wilkerson author of Caste: The Origins of Our Discontent

One of the things I learned from this video addresses an important issue in the Black community, the role of family and how it was destroyed. In English law, at the founding of this nation, a child's status was tied to its father. In the slaveholding US, this was changed. A slave woman, who had children, had her offspring's status tied to her. She was a slave, so was the child (even if the child's biological parent was white). It was not free. Father's were disregarded by the State.

We have official government policy that has repeatedly undermined the status of family in the Black community.

A more realistic video and from a leftist no less. The strategies and tactics used by SJWs is scientifically proven to increase hatred and division. That is their goal as it all comes straight out of Marxism and they want division, unhappiness, and lost people because they become useful idiots for the revolution communists want to cause.

We oppose the nuclear family. ~ BLM

Marxist groups like BLM have always tried to break families up. They literally believe families are a power structure which stabilizes society and prevents them from bring about their communist revolution. They also believe traditional child rearing stabilizes children and "indoctrinates" them with traditional values thus preventing them from wanting to join a revolution. Thus why they want to groom kids from kindergarten, make them unhappy and dysfunctional, so that they are destabilized and become unhappy enough to join a revolution.

Have you listened to any of James Lindsay's podcasts and work shops?

They are so long but he really drives into the bowels of all this woke cult stuff and explains it right from the left wing academia and beyond.

This is 1 out of 5 sessions on it. It's really worth listening to.

Yeah, he breaks it all down in the historical context. He is just one of many but the useful idiots will never watch it, will actively avoid it, and pretend truth and fact do not exist. That is what makes them useful idiots (the communist term for people like aidsman).

Yep. The cult hates James Lindsay. And no one who slams him can give any examples of any of the supposed "lies" he "spreads"

Nothing he has said has directly challanged to shown to be wrong and these people never clarify themselves.

Lindsay goes right in and unpacks it right from critical race theorists themselves.

It started with White slaving holding America. That is a fact.

The first person in America to declare a slave as a piece of property....... was a black man, Anthony Johnson. He also owned white slaves.

He was the first African (born in Angola) to be recognized by the Virginia courts as a property owner. Yes, he had slaves. He wasn't the first to have slaves.

John Rolfe was the first colonist to bring slaves in 1619 to Jamestown.

The only race problem in America comes from vile Leftists who whine and lie about such issues incessantly.

Why, I even got that Gallium Breakballs dude, a Leftist, to admit that black folks and white folks got along just fine in Zimbabwe before LEFTISTS started spreading lies and "disinformation" about racial issues. Next thing you Zimbabwe happened.

Leftist vermin filth are trying the same tired shit here.

Fuck them. The only "racists" are Leftists, or as we call them here in America: Registered Democrats.

How is ethnicity attached to politics?

Does the OP imply that minorities must vote left and whites vote right?

If so, that's raycist!....

Yes. That is exactly what Registered Democrats like Lily say. They actually think that if "black and brown" people don't march in lockstep with the Democrat party line, there's something wrong with them.

In fact, their vile and racist ideology has so fucked up their minds that white girls like Lily pretend to be Mexican so they can take advantage of being a minority.

The OP doesn't address voting in any meaningful way.

I think even Martha Stewart would agree that comprehension, written or spoken word, is a good thing.

Actually it does. Aren't you people (racist Registered Democrats) always going on and on about "voter suppression" specifically targeting "black and brown communities?"

Why, we even had a thread here just a week or so ago about it and you people couldn't come up with a single name of a single black or brown American who's vote had been suppressed. Not a single one.

Do you remember that? It was just last week, I think.

In a minority of colonies in one region. Also Georgia started as a white penal copy where the average prisoner doing forced labor survived less than two years. Not to mention virtually every society on Earth was a slavehding society for thousands of years. Your knowledge of history is shallow at best.

Were all the other Southern States penal colonies as well?

Like the Carolinas?

The Cari as we're settler co is starting in NC while coastal SC was a swamp much like coastal Georgia. SC eventually became large plantations (Rice being the biggest crop) because you needed a large work force to drain swamps and build water control systems like dikes and levees.

Again from a pretty far left former Occupy Wall St protester. He covers what is wrong with CRT and why it is so racist.

Slavery began LONG before then.

Also, there were very few black folk in Virginia at the time, Johnson was one of the original 20, arriving in 1621.

But what is important to note, from Anthony Johnson, is that his slave was the first slave to become property for life. Mostly there was indentured servants at that time.

Poor John Casor's indentured servitude contract became void, thus becoming the first black man to become a slave for life. To a black man.

Oh, and.....

Slaves, usually captured and sold by other African tribes, were transported across the Atlantic to the Americas. Around 11 million people were transported from 1500 to 1850, mostly to Brazil and the Caribbean islands. If they arrived in America, originally they became indentured servants; if they arrived elsewhere, they became slaves.

Both African slaves and European indentured servants labored in Virginia in the 1620s.

Yeah facts and objective assessment of history kinda shit on this dem/prog narrative so they just alter it.

We should be learning from history, not repeating it. We could genuinely progress....but that cant happen sadly people love their hate.

Again, a left of center source.

I've posted this guy a few times and listed his sources. He is giving info directly from critical race theorists like Crenshaw and their own writings. But some how its "bull shit".

Why support something you wont freely argue FOR? Notice they never offer any counter or try to persued anyone. So it's just entirely about hate.

Originally, but slavery evolved in the colonies to become chattel slavery in the US. Sorry, you can't erase the past by pretending it was different than i9t really was.

Oh, Im not trying to erase any past, I just like to shine the light on things that folks usually dont know.

Most people these days, simply think "Evil White Southern Slave Owners!" when it comes to slavery, when there is SO much more to the story.

Most folk dont know of Anthony Johnson and John Casor. Most folks dont know of black slave owners, or how African tribes captured other tribesmen, and sold them. Most folk dont know there was white slaves. Most folk dont know there was slaves in the North, and the slaves were sold to the South from the North. How the South was the first to abolish the Slave Trade. SO much more to the story than folks realize.
