Homo Sapiens are, as a species, suicidal as fuck.

Make it make sense.

Interestingly the powers that be want to exctinctify us with the means of this new technology Artificial Intelligence @Garraty_47.

Can you imagine anything so absurd asking we the public around the world to embrace a technology so destructive that it intends to make us all obsolete? Take away our jobs or means of making a living by replacibg us all with computers. And in the name of what? Corporate greed and profits so they can push share prices higher?

Adoption of AI is representative of a suicidal mentality.

Automation is only untenable in a predatory capitalist system that forces more and more people to compete for fewer and fewer jobs while refusing to mitigate the consequences or even admit there *are* consequences.

The whole concept of "earning" a living is premised on the idea that nobody deserves to live by default despite the fact that none of us *chose* to be born into this dystopian hellscape of a so-called civilization.

It's very self-destructive and that's by malicious design.

But if the elites take away everyone's ability to make a living, how can they possibly feed themselves and survive?

I suppose their mentality is "He who owns all da Gold, makes all da Rules."

...and we can't have access to this new means of production because somebody will own it all and control it.

Thats why I think people have to revolt against this kind of tyranny. As you point out the elites keep pushing AI on us and our governments are their enablers.

But in the process nobody explains why we need AI. It all seems very sinister and fortells of something more ominousto come.

Remember those body scan technology in airports? I'd see these news stories about what could be coming & then there was someone who entered the US without a visa with a bomb strapped to his body. Then shortly after that incident body scan technology was introduced at all airports.

But how did that guy get into the US without a passport? And he was ushered through customs and allowed in by the State department. Clearly it was planned.

Similarly thats how AI will be introduced - without our consent or public inquiries about its consequences.

"Don't ask questions. Just obey. We have the situation under control. So shut up."

The line between improving our existence in this planet and making sure that existence is threatened in the long term by such improvements is a very thin one.
At least in the wealthy Western nations I don't see how any more technological enhancements can improve our quality of life. Essentially we have it all. Designer clothes, designer diets, designer medicine. Any consuner product you can think of. Cars custom made from the factory pre-ordered on the Internet from tge company website. Computers presently that fulfill our needs. So any more enhancements can only be used to cannibalize the human race. Ie like wiping out jobs with AI. Thats not an enhancement of our existence

First: we eat the elites

Second: we build a better civilization without the exploitative bullshit.

Third: some jackass re-invents capitalism and it starts all over again

The most absurd thing is providing gold plated pensions courtesy of the taxpayer to privileged politicians or judges who were already millionaires before they entered politics or judgeships and then cutting the pensions of seniors by raising retirement age from 65 to 70. So these elites grant themselves what they are so readily willing to take away from the working class. Essentially thats a king of kings mentality and these corporate and political elite have become our modern monarchs.

"Let them eat cake." Is still their prevailing societal view.

I just wonder if we cant afford pensions for the working class how we can afford gold plated pensions for privileged millionaire politicians and court justices.

They only get away with as much as we let them get away with.
Sooner or later a critical mass of people will grok this and changes will happen.

Bullshit…I guess you haven’t figured out sustainability yet?

It would be nice if A.I. and other technology were just be used to enhance our lives.

It makes us much more efficient and productive.

We should already have made moves towards a 20-30 hour work week and retiring by the age of 55 at the latest.

And we should have many more life-enhancing facilities and activities available to us.

Imagine how much energy people would have when only needing to work 20 hours a week.

Why dont we just stop this and leave nature alone?

I feel like this is a great way to further dehumanize us and create a bunch more sociopaths.

"Say goodbye to painful childbirth"

This might sound weird but I loved giving birth. Yes it extremely painful. It's also extremely intense and primal and natural and I loved it.

I had three natural births (no epidurals or anything). My first baby I definately wanted pain relief. I was terrified. And women LOVE to tell their war stories. I was young....22....and was so terrified I would cry about it. So I was signed up for the epidural before I even got in a birthing room.

Well i never got the epidural because the anesthesiologist never got there. There were like 3 c sections going on and they kept telling me another 20 minutes. She didnt get there until I was getting ready to push and I told her "please just get the fuck out it's too late" lol.

I only had the epidural for one baby and it was honestly terrible. It took longer to deliver because I couldnt feel the pain enough to push hard enough. The pain in childbirth isnt like any other pain. It's different. Its purposeful....so if you give yourself over to it it works for you. It never took me longer than 15 minutes to deliver once I started pushing. Except for when I had the epidural. I thought my labor stopped....took 40 minutes to push and my baby inhaled fluid and got sick. So that was incredibly stressful.

Then they left me there in a birth mess for almost 4 hours. I couldnt get up and move to clean myself. I HATE feeling dirty and they just left me there in blood and birth goo and pee. I had hit the call button and asked very nicely for help. No one came and I just cried. The father threw a huge fit. Without the epidural I could get up and move around and shower faster and tend to myself and that's really important IMO.

That aside it's really sad to see that growing babies like this, being able to alter their genetics....and just interact with them via an app? This is so dehumanizing.

I'm a huge fan of nature. There is nothing like passionate heterosexual sex ....a normal pregnancy and natural birth. We are being violated, truly. Severing our most fundamental human connections. Attacking and diminshing relationships between men and women was pretty successful. And abortion wasnt bad enough now we have gonna have a corpo that grows customized babies. This is stripping us of so much and our human dignity.

This is not progress. This is a horror. We cant do something good with this? Like provide these options for the wave of ten year old rape survivors who are pregnant? I hear that's a tremendous problem so bad that we need to be able to legally inhumanely maim and brutalize defenseless human beings in the womb. Cant we just use this technology to transfer those tiny humans into these and let adoptive parents bond with them as they grow? As much as you can bond under these sterile.....video game-ish circumstances?

People who think AI is bad are small thinkers.

Sure, some AI is bad because it has been implemented poorly. Just like all kinds of technology. But if implemented properly, AI can free up people's time. Freedom to enjoy your life instead of working.

There's nothing wrong with technology that removes drudgery from people's lives. I think the problem with technology, like all other resources is how it's distributed.

What do you mean by "distributed"?

Do you mean there is an unequal distribution? i.e. some benefit more than others

Or...?
