I think those stats are misleading because I think a lot of people who live the "gay lifestyle" and "identify as gay" are not actually gay.

Why?

Because if you are a male sexual deviant who is addicted to getting your rocks off, and while you are straight and would prefer a woman, you have much more opportunity to have a high number of sexual partners in the gay community. I used to walk through a park in my city at night and would get propositioned every time by some dude asking if I wanted a blowjob. Were they really gay? Or did they just want some sexual contact with another warm body and this was the easiest option?
