So they can BUY shares. Not have them "distributed" like LotusTard is "thinking".

People have always been able to buy shares of publicly traded companies, as long as shareholders are willing to sell.

And Employee Share Ownership Programs are not a new idea. They have been around in their current form in the USA for about 70 years. Probably a similar time frame in Canada.
I believe these are $1000 US starter accounts for new borns or young children Prowler.

So it's kind of like providing free shares only the investor or parent get to decide which shares they are buying.

And If Dalio, Dell didn't think this was a top priority and everyone was already doing it, why would they bother to fund or donate to this program Lex @The Prowler?

Clearly these businesmen understand that there is a lack of participation by the working class and a need to improve. So they decided one way to improve that situaiton is to provide starter accounts for their children.

I sat here in shock for a few minutes myself.

Like she's RIGHT THERE......but she will fight it tooth and nail what maga is all about.
I read the whole article, right diagnosis but wrong solution. Right especially about dividing people every which way they can with Gay race communism. Maybe Lettuce Brain missed that part.

Trumps Tariffs and the reshoring will start putting things right. Nobody needs any form of "Equity" aka Communism.

There is still the "problem" of technology making workers much more efficient and lowering the number of human workers needed.

Basically, we need to figure out what to do with an unprecedentedly large surplus of human labour resources.

Maybe instead of mouthing Malthusian garbage you should get some economics textbooks. Historically new technology has resulted in a net increase of jobs.

So we loose Lawyers and Admin drones, the cost of Law and running Governments collapses, we create jobs in making and servicing Robots.

The problem as pointed out the other day by the comedian Jimmy Carr is that if Government gets cheap so does Totalitarianism.

We could do with closing schools and bringing in more online learning as well.

The key word is "historically".

Now go look at a word I used: "unprecedentedly"

The solution to this "problem" will not be found in a textbook.

So we loose Lawyers and Admin drones, the cost of Law and running Governments collapses, we create jobs in making and servicing Robots.

If the jobs to make and service robots are equal to or greater in number than the jobs they are replacing, that would be fine.

That is not the case.

Not even close.

The problem as pointed out the other day by the comedian Jimmy Carr is that if Government gets cheap so does Totalitarianism.

I do not know what he said. And I do not really care.

We could do with closing schools and bringing in more online learning as well.

Of course.

I have said this for decades. Not all teachers are good at their jobs.

Lectures should be presented and video recorded. The very best of each lesson should be presented to students. Students would be taught the very best lessons using the very best performance of the very best lecture.

Technology has only made this more feasible.

Now the "problem" is knowing what to do with all the unemployed teachers.
