@Dove am I right in thinking that you said a while ago that ginger female cats are very rare or did I hear it from someone else? I don't think I've ever come across one, they always seem to be male and those are quite rare in comparison to other colours.

I think it was her that said that.

Yeah, we found them in a box in an alley. Her and her sister. My wife's sister took one, and we took the other. We named her Lucky.

That’s exactly how I found my cats. Four cats in a box abandoned on the side of a road. Kept two, Smokey and the Bandit, and found forever homes for the other two. Good stuff!

They are. Female orange cats are rare. I raised one a year ago.
