Fire. The heater fan in our apartment lit up a few years ago. House was full of smoke and the poodle woke me up. I got up, had a pee, and realized what was going on when he instinctively jumped in the tub. We put it out and got the NNFD and maintenance in to clear the smoke and put in a new heater. Mid December, no heat, and windows open for 3 days.

In some cases, sure. They know when tornados and earthquakes are coming before I do and can instantly detect a clever smiling douchebag the moment they approach where it takes me an entire minute, sometimes two.
