I tend to agree with you although admit to not knowing full details.

Saying your info is out there so what's the harm in posting it?...

Is akin to back in the day, someone gives you their phone number & you post their address online because you cross referenced their phone number with their address in the phone book.

This site isn't for that dumb shit. Everyone's info is "out there". No shit. Only nutjobs with no gas in the tank & who take this shit too seriously post personal info in lieu of entertaining material... i.e. THE ENTIRE POINT OF THIS SITE.
Yes, that's exactly my point. Everyone's information is out there, it's no excuse to splatter it on the boards, which links a person's supposedly anonymous forum ID to their real life identity. Even if it's been done to that person in the past. That whole, "2 wrongs don't make a right" phrase comes to mind.

What made it worse was @Alticus's initial response to the backlash. First he was adamant that he did nothing wrong by posting a page full of Biggie's PI including his work address and phone number. Then after a few of his "supporters" politely pointed out his transgression, he posted some a half hearted apology and then immediately demanded everyone to accept it and drop the subject. Now he's back to "I didn't do anything wrong because the information was already out there".

Greece is the birth of democracy. If Greece isn't worth visiting than there surely is no better choice. Or did I just make a bad pun on democracy? And call you surely? Yes. To both.

My best friend in high school was second gen Greek and I would amuse myself by showing him the picture of the Greek flag with the crown still in it from my parent's 1976 World Encyclopedia. He would scoff & say Greece did away with royalty. Was I trolling before I even knew trolling?

Surely.

Shawshank Redemption...*Morgan Freeman voice*... "Sometimes I just miss my friend."
Greece is totally worth visiting. Not sure if you're saying that in direct reply to something I wrote, but I think it's a great country despite a few shortcomings. I mean, I freaking LIVE here now, giving up 60 years of established roots in the USA.

I wouldn't want to be there in the morning. I hear dawn is tough on Greece.
How so? Watching the sunrise over the Saronic Gulf and the distant mountains of Corinth and Athens is a nice way to start the day. And during the hot months the only respite is in the early morning or evening hours.

I spent 2months in Greece in my 20s split between Athens and an island called Syros but like 90% of it was Syros.

Fucking beautiful country.

It sure is. Between the mountains, and the architecture of the old cities, the ruins, the ocean.. it's incredible. There are just so many things to see, including over 200 inhabited islands including the one you mentioned.

We've been to about a 1/2 dozen so far and will continue to explore more of them, in between taking extended trips to other countries that are much more accessible from here as compared to the US. We've been to England, France and Italy this year, and the flights were only a few hours long (and cheap).

Traveling is one of the most important things one can experience in my opinion, I spent between 18-30 traveling all over the world and it's just an unbeatable experience.

It's so much better after retirement. I can go as long as I want, and when I get back, there's no pile of paperwork waiting for me when I get back, and all the work related stress that is always 10x worse after being away for a long period of time.

I still get this uneasiness towards the end of my trip which is from 30 years of knowing what I'm going to be returning to. And nowadays all I need to do is unpack.

I was being sarcastic by making it sound that Cornwall is such a great place that only special people get to live there. In fact I never knew it existed until about 5 minutes ago.

In truth parts of Kernow are so picturesque a really stunning part of England, I had a great time camping and fishing down that way.

She can't be. She doesn't have a nose ring and purple hair.
Or does she? Welcome to Lily's inner septum. Seige of Cartilage.

Didja know the nose ring isn't actually through the cartilage but the soft connective tissue below it? Ahh yes. Even those damn septum ring sportin libs have a sweet spot. Right under their nose.

So when they look down their nose at me, I see their sweet spot.

They can't hide it. Just decorate it. For cover.
