cuz if a person relies upon stock footage, they could end up paying an arm and a leg for the simplest shit.

Shutterstock wants $79 US or about $100 Canadian for that clip

So if a person bought 40 of those from them, they'd end up paying $4000.

Since the camera costs about that much, a person may as well make and edit their own, eh?

They could make unlimited videos just like that and save themselves a ton of money instead of relying upon stock photography/video like that. And the camera would end up paying for itself.

Actually a lot of these YouTube videos or infomercials make heavy use of these stock images, so they must be paying a ton to produce one video.

I think it's cuz I made a brochure for somebody once.

It wasn't a video tho

I think it was a photo of the sky from a stock photography website

I think it was $20 or something like that.

But...it still cost me money for something a simple as that.

so images, videos cost money, Lex.

Even AI, ChatGPT or Sora, I noticed they charge money too for their premium services.

and of course, they're gonna bump up their prices in the future once they get everyone hooked.
