There are many outreaches for drug addiction, domestic violence, et. Outreaches always need some help.

But more importantly, Did you even watch the video? If you did, apparently you didn't understand it, at all. The major problem is the shortage of housing. They don't want to leave the streets because they don't want to stay in shelters, which are not homes, they are beds that they get kicked out of for at least half the day every day. They can't hold down a night job and a bed in a shelter at the same time. It's more complex than you seem to understand, especially for someone who claims to do so much for them.

IMO, CHURCH volunteerism for the most part is not realy volunteerism. There is more of THAT among right wingers, and often, it is not helping anyone outside the church.

Homelessness is caused by the shortage of housing, especially affordable housing. We need to start building again.

And that is why this becomes a partisan issue. Conservatives gets sick and tired of hearing liberal douchebags complain about problems without doing any work to try to solve the problems.

A conservative sees a problem: "What can I do to help fix this problem?"

A liberal sees a problem: "How can I act all compassionate and caring without having to put any effort into solving this problem?"

It is true. All the liberals are lazy and think the government should do everything without them having to get off their asses to do anything. I remember volunteering at the homeless shelter and everyone there was religious. The vast majority Christians but a few Jewish and even Sikhs. I don't remember seeing any Muslim volunteers but they were probably there.

In general liberals are liberals because they are lazy. They either want something for nothing or they want the government to do everything so they can do nothing.
