You do not understand stock prices, Senile @Joe.

As we discovered here:
Well, I only have so much room in the TFSA Lex @The Prowler.

Because the funds have already been used to purchase other stocks.

As an example, let's say there's $300 left to invest in 1 trading account.

I spend that to buy 1 share of Franco Nevada at $300 per share.

Then there's no money left to buy anything else.

All the available funds/cash to invest is used up on this 1 share.

And at best that stock might go up another 50%

However, if I buy 300 shares of another penny stock at $1 each that could rise 1000% to $10 per share, potentially which is the better buy?

Essentially, the guy in that video employs that strategy and he's probably a millionaire many times over.

"Buy Low/Cheap....Sell High"

I don't see that as being a terribly academic concept Prowler.

I think @Seamajor asked you as well - what don't you understand about that CONCEPT?

One share of one company might be a great deal at $100 while a $1 share of another company is way over-valued.

You are naive.

I mined a bunch of Litecoin several years ago. I've since sold it and paid off a few bills. I wouldnt invest money in crypto that I needed access to immediately. Now is a good time to buy. Gold and silver are stable investments but they wont make you any money.
WRONG!!!!!!!

Fuck. We have an appointment on Wednesday to sell 5 pounds (60 ounces).

The bank has to have the PM guy there and they make it sound like a big production.

We just want to park the money in one of our cash trading accounts to be ready to put down on a real estate deal.

Hey Joe! I just came across a trove of Pokemon cards. I haven't checked them all yet, but I'm sure some of them are worth some ducats.

Is it?

We are not planning to sell, so I am not aware of any changes.

Has your house appreciated in value lately, Senile @Joe?
Don't worry...real estate is gettin hit hawd in Vancouver too...Lex @The Prowler !

Those Chinese buyers who fueled the previous housing boom are far and few between these days...Prowler!

People who bought at the height of the boom can't sell now

We sold 5 pounds of gold today.

I think they had extra security at the bank. It felt weird driving around with that much gold.

So now we have just under $410K sitting in our cash trading account, ready to be a down payment for some new real estate. I am probably going to move it to an Investment Savings Account since we probably will not be buying for a few months.

5 pounds?

They no longer measure gold like that Lex @The Prowler

But even if your story is true, Canadian real estate has a ways to fall, Lex. Maybe 20-30% more? And it may not recover for years.

From these YT videos late, US Real Estate is in doldrums too Prowler.

Now might be the time to prepare to snap up that Florida real estate you've pined for.

Mind you the US Dollar will continue to decline this year and beyond. Your hero Trump wants a lower USD. So even better deals may crop up south of the border

....Perhaps haps the C$ & USD will be at par by the time Trump's term officially ends in 2028/29?

Hahaha!!!

"No, we do not want that if you call it pounds. We need you to call it ounces."

It is funny. They never said that.

So what?

Now might be the time to prepare to snap up that Florida real estate you've pined for.

We are not looking in Florida right now.

The decision is not a financial one. We have weighed-out the convenience of having our own place down there with the inconvenience of maintenance of another house and decided there are better options.

I am not too worried about the rise and fall of the value of anything I buy. I have a lot of savings.

Given the performance of the stock market in the past week, real estate will likely take even a further hit Lex @The Prowler.

So if you're looking for deals a good chance even more will be on the way in 2026-27 Lex @The Prowler

Bitcoin is sure gettin hammered.

How is your real estate doing?
Well. since you asked Lex @The Prowler...

...last year I passed up an opportunity to buy a lot of land for $100,000 Canadian.

It was an attractive piece of land outside the City about 1/2 acre in size.

However, the major problem with it is it was geologically unstable.

And it was sitting below a cliff in a probable earthquake zone.

So, it had problems with falling rock and potential home floods.

This was told to me by someone who lived on that street.

and therefore, might require upwards of another $100,000 of geotechnical interventions (maybe 2x?) to build anything on it. Could be less or even a lot more.

I suspect it needed an irrigation system and a retaining wall.

so I passed on that 'opportunity' because it seemed rather dicey. however It did sell to someone else.

I somewhat regretted it, but on the other hand I didn't.

So, I'd be interested in investing in land, but perhaps with something that has fewer issues than that.

Given that real estate appears to be in a recession in Canada and getting worse especially in BC, I suspect there'll probably be more deals coming up in the year, Prowler. 2026 is supposed to be a tough year for real estate in Canada and I imagine the USA as well.

@Joe !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How is your real estate doing?!?!?!!?!?
Buying real estate is not a contest Lex @The Prowler . neither is stock investing. im not competing with you or anyone else

Why do you think so many people in my city are in trouble?

Just like most parts of Toronto or Ontario, real estate in Vancouver is the doldrums too cuz people succumbed to FOMO, keeping up with Joneses, trying to outdo each other & now they're left holding the bag.

As I told you, ive known people who went bankrupt largely because they gave onto their lesser instincts and greed.

While i could, why bother jumping into a market that continues to fall? im not interested in buying atm

Senile @Joe, I am not asking you if you are interested in buying at the moment.

I am asking you how the real estate that you own is doing? Is it holding its value? Is the value going down?

But You never answer my questions nor do you ever provide proof of anything you supposedly own. So since you don't answer my questions I won't bother answering yours.

Well I'll rub it in that you were lying about owning 'Pounds of Gold' Lex @The Prowler

Gold isn't measured or sold in pounds and all the amounts your provided were incorrectly stated.

You don't what that amount of Gold actually looks like.

You've been caught in a lie.

So...let that 'rub in'

You have no idea what you are talking about.

We brought in and sold 5 pounds of gold. An even 5 pounds.

You could call it 60 ounces if you really wanted to. They did.

I like calling it pounds because it bothers you.

Hahahahaha!!!!
