I instinctively distrust anything said by any "intelligence" agency.
They are professional liars and always always always spin things in a way that protects, promotes, and expands the power of the establishment (which isn't the same as one political party or another).

We only need to look at the lies used to justify invading Iraq or more recently the Russiagate bullshit here in 'Murica to see how deceptive they can be and to what lengths they'll go in order to control and propagate a narrative.
