Celtics' Jayson Tatum (Achilles) to start in return vs. Mavs

Is this a bad or good decision for Tatum who signed a $300M contract to return? OR. For Boston, who they invested $300M in? Boston already won an NBA title with Tatum. Boston is currently the #2 (41-21) seed in the Eastern Conference.

Tatum is starting!. Which brings me to this...

Was Tatum injury involving or causing sudden great damage or suffering?. Or. Was Boston actually tanking?


I didn't think Tatum would start in his first game back, but I guess this was a Friday Night NBA main event. With Cooper Flagg (The next American Great White hope since Larry Bird) coming back after being out 8 games.

Tatum had 15 points on 6-of-16 shooting, 12 rebounds and seven assists in a rust-filled 27 minutes. He played in - and six-minute spurts in his first game since suffering the injury in during Game 4 of Boston’s Eastern Conference semifinal loss to New York in May. Tatum missed his first six shots, including three 3-pointers. Jaylen Brown had 24 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Derrick White added 20 points to help Boston win for the fourth time in five games.

Here is my take on Tatum coming back so soon. He had too.

* With Boston at the #2 seed without him would make him look bad
* If Boston was to reach the Eastern Conference without him would make him look even worse.
* If Boston won the NBA Championship without him, his career as a Celtic would be DONE.
* Jayson Tatum CAN NOT afford to let Jaylen Brown and Derrick White win the CHIP while he's injured.

But! Here's the thing.

* If the Celtics DO NOT make the Eastern Conference Championship. He is gonna be blamed for losing. By coming back early Tatum, Win are lose, It's gone cost you bro.

Boston was the odds on favorite to win the Eastern Conference before the return of Jayson Tatum return. What if Boston doesn't reach the Eastern Conference Finals? Or. Boston lose in the Second Round?

....oh and PS: While we are on the subject,
I have never understood the nik White Chocolate for Jason Williams.
Pistol 2.0 maybe.
Why compare him to a black player(s) when none has ever shown the creativity he did, or Pete before him?
. Maybe if a chocolate player ever does come up to their level in imagination as a passer they can be called "Black Ivory" or something of the sort.

Of course, Jason was no Pistol Pete, since he was shooting challenged, but he was entertaining.
