One day, I went there with a Reagan tee shirt. Some filthy nigger cunts got on the monorail and seethed at me. They looked like OK people but I caught them niggers looking at me like hitler or some shit. Then it occurred to me it was my tee shirt. Thats when I knew beyond doubt they were filthy stinking niggers that should have been tossed off a hotel with Aidsman.

It's cuz Reagan really hammered the working class & poor, White Black or other...Lokmeer!

Untrue and an idiotic thing to say. The working class and poor where getting hammered by inflation caused by Democrats like Jimmy Carter. Reagan fixed that and under him supply side wconomics real wages shot up making people better off in real terms. Yes, even the poor.

1980s was a mean decade tho.

So presumably you think it's acceptable for Disney to teach gay propaganda to young children?

There's nothing more wholesome and natural than 2 men fisting, is there?
You’re talking to a guy who previously admitted to jerking off to that movie “the professional” because he tought a 12 year old natalie portman playing a vulnerable girl I love with an older military man was hot.

he’s a sick freak and that’s why god made his nose disappear

DE Santis seems a bit too far to the right for many American voters.

He would win the South handily but his appeal is limited in other parts of the US. I think he's a regional as opposed to a national candidate

Like Trump de Santis would be a polarizING president

Totally wrong. He isnt far right at all. He is just normal.

He is exactly what Americans want. At least the ones who didnt go off the left wing Cliff.

You guys tend to paint everyone who promotes and protects the rights and liberties of Americans as "polarizing" and you really need to look at that. The reality the left is moving so far left that regular American values are being painted as extreme or polarizing.

Glenn Youngkin is more the kinda Republican most suitable for the US presidency. He would make a good President. Unfortunately he's too moderate & centrist for much of America today.

Youngkin would make a good Conservative Prime Minister or Premier of Canada tho. Guy is in the wrong country unfortunately.

You just dont seem to like anyone who represents the actual people of the country who are NOT aligned with progressives and democrats.

What policies has DeSantis accomplished that you think makes him a poor choice for president?

Was it absolutely necessary for de Santis to take such drastic action at the potential cost of jobs and future investment by Disney & others in Florida?

As governor couldn't de Santis broker a compromise? What he did seemed extremely severe just to prove a point.

I'm starting to think he's much too confrontationAL to be a good and effective President of the US.

Joe it wasnt really that drastic...I mean he just basically told them they can be their own government anymore. They have to pay their taxes to the state now. Not themselves.

Prove what point? That a self governing wealthy corporation shouldnt verbally attack Americans?

Joe if they wanna influence our government but dont wanna pay taxes....how is that even close to fair to the people?

I would say it was not absolutely necessary but it was a very good and popular thing thus why politicians went with it. Also, logically, it is not good thing to level the playing field and make sure powerful politically connected corporations are not give special advantages. So now Disney is equal to all of the other corporations under the law.

As has been pointed out numerous times an HTSC will be set up to tax parcel owners in the old Reedy Creek District and Disney is going to end up paying for all the debt they themselves created.

That is a good thing.

Exactly.

Who knew there were so many people who dont mind a bit of corporate fascism?

This is where you know leftists think they are the "good guys fighting evil". They are gonna allow corporate fascism and defend it. And they think itll be okay later on because....well their side are the "good guys".

It's pure delusion.

Admin just will not bother making sure his claims are true.

It's not going to raise property taxes for residents. If you cared about it you would go deeper than the typical hysterical propaganda sources that constantly.....constantly lie to the people and misrepresent everything done by their political opposition. And BTW.....news shouldn't even HAVE "political opposition". They should be neutral and held to standards of honesty if they present themselves as "news".

Watching leftists now admit that raising taxes on corps and the wealthy is a bad idea because the burden falls on the residents is incredible.

And they are completely wrong about what happened with Disney.

This is gonna be a year transition and the residents are actively being protected from an increase.

It's just amazing that leftists are now openly pro big corp and the imbalance of power with corporations and the people.

We always knew though that they are good with that power imbalance and tax loopholes and specail districts and controling the government so long as its stuff THEY want.

"
"it is not the understanding or expectation for SB 4-C, abolishing independent special districts, to cause any tax increases for the residents of any area of Florida."

"In the near future, we will propose additional legislation to authorize additional special districts in a manner that ensure transparency and an even playing field under the law." - DeSantis

During a bill-signing ceremony Friday in Hialeah Gardens, DeSantis acknowledged that the measures were aimed at punishing Disney for defying him on the education bill, which was formally titled the “Parental Rights in Education Act” but was dubbed by opponents as the “don’t say gay” bill.

Weaponizing your politics, is the GOP way today.

Right. Good. Why exactly should a wealthy corporation get to spread misinfo about a bill and openly vow to repeal it?

Shouldnt they be paying taxes if they want to highjack representation?

Disney is the one who weaponized politics. Maybe they should have told the truth and stayed out of it instead of threatening to mess with legislation.

When did Disney get elected?

Disney is a homegrown American corporation which provides a lot of good paying jobs locally for American citizens/residents. You know what Trump & now Biden have said about bringing jobs back to America.

So in that regard they are not unimportant. Why kill a good thing?

Actually Canada provides a lot of tax exemptions for American corporations including Disney to set up shop here. And a major reason they come is over political issues like this. Canada kinda turns a blind eye to them.

While they won't re-create Disneyland North of the border, I suspect we'll see Disney investing in & creating more jobs in Vancouver because of the film industry.

People are acting like if Disney pulls out of Florida the land will just sit vacant and unused.

No. The land can be used for any number of things.

People need to stop listening to the MSM regarding this topic. The MSM misrepresents facts all the time. They will spin everything about this story to be favourable to Disney/negative to Florida and Florida residents.

Dovey has nailed it when she observed the 180 "progressives" have done on the issue of corporations having too much power, etc.. These left-wing lunatics have no ability for critical thought. They just hear the narrative from the MSM, accept it, and repeat it. Fuckin' weak-minded drones.

Yeah but the governor should strike a balance and be practical.

That's why American corporations like Disney Amazon & Microsoft set up shop in Vancouver.

Seems what's bad for America is good for Vancouver. They more they fight the more jobs take flight from there @The Prowler.

Our socialist premier here sure ain't gonna turn down Disney if they add another studio in Vancouver. They always welcome these large American corporations with open arms here.

You dont fork over control over legislation and tell the people to eat it when a power imbalance like this occurs.

There is no real reason why Disney should have specail priviledges if they are going to weild them against the peasents.

If they are gonna vow to have a law repealed and lie about that law and jump on a partisan bandwagon they should be paying taxes.

It's a good thing that DeSantis demonstrated he is going to put the interests of the people, families... over the interests of powerful and wealthy corporations like Disney.

Well...your guys loss will be our gain @Dove y.

That's the Achilles heel of investing in or setting up shop in places like the American South. These corporations are finding they have to deal with their version of 'The Morality Police'. Texas the same thing. Like when Governor Gregor Abbott announced those draconian abortion laws, companies actually announced plans to leave that state.

While Disney may not close down Florida it'll probably translate into more jobs and capital flowing into places like Vancouver because our governments don't interfere in what are essentially morality issues like these.

The movie industry in Canada will be delighted to receive more investment from Disney, Paramount, Universal Studios, etc etc

Our governments don't bother them or their employees and that is why they like coming here. Essentially Canada is or has become this secular version or extension of America.

As America burns or tears itself apart, Canada prospers & thrives because of your country's social divisions.

Somebody has to start drawing a line, a push back. Congress ain't gonna do it, obviously. Supreme Court ain't gonna do it, obviohsly. Govenors are elected officials per each state, each state has governing laws. You got a pussy gov'na, sorry 'bout your luck.
Even if you are a dem, even if you voted for PLEASE ASS BOX ME! Joe (people should be in jail for putting him up for a Presidential nomminnieeeee, btw)... You MUST know that what has happened quite quickly, treason at the very least and our constitution is being systematically tossed out the door.

81 million my arse
