TRAYVON WAS ATTACKED BY AN ARMED STRANGER and had EVERY RIGHT TO DEFEND HIMSELF.
LOL the "armed stranger" was a security guard doing his job.
No he wasnt.....he was "community watch". There was no way to know what his intent was.
Ok, a voluntary neighbourhood watch type thing?
It's not difficult to see what happened.
This neighbourhood watch guy saw a black teen in a hoody walking through an affluent gated community and got suspicious. (I wonder why?)
He followed him, the kid noticed, didn't like it and confronted Zimmerman.
A brief altercation took place, one of them threw a punch (the black kid from the looks of things) and they ended up wrestling on the ground.
The black kid gets accidentally shot in the process.
The End.
Pretty much.
A similar thing happened over a year ago with regular men chasing down some guy who was messing around in a house that was being built.
The guy (Arbury....or something like that) was indeed tresspassing on that property, possibly looking for stuff to steal or just dicking around. But these random men called the police....but then went chasing after the guy in a truck with guns.
So they cornered him and he went after them, so they shot.
I mean these guys are not police and they dont have any business trying to detain another citizen. I dont care that he had been tresspassing. He was leaving on his own when the men persued him....the police had been called....so they had no business chasing this guy with guns. No shit he went at them. Who wouldnt?
You are running and being chased by other citizens and they have a gun....and they block you. You dont know what they are going to do. You are GONNA fight.
Now if this guy had been seen abusing someone, molesting or going after a child or beating or raping a woman, yeah chase the fuck. But this idiot was just walking around a construction site.
It was ridiculous. The idea that I personally could be followed, confronted and "detained" by total fucking armed strangers who have decided I look suspicious or decided I did something wrong? It makes my blood BOIL. No one has the right to approach me like that. We have police who have that authority and are trained to deal with people. And who are aware of your rights.
Some rando "community watch" asshole trying to citizen arrest me or my kids? Oh fuck no. You have no clue who these people are and no one is obligated to let them detain you. It's an act of aggresion and self defense is allowed here.
That's a whole thing that should not be a thing. It's dangerous. Obviously because people end up getting shot. When police approach us, we know what's happening. Some random ass? I'd assume I was going to be raped and killed and I would absolutely fight.
You wanna be a cop? Go get the education and training that earns you that right to approach other citizens you think are suspicious. Pulling that as a "community watch" person puts yourself and the other person at an unessesary risk of harm or death.....because anyone you pursue doesn't know what your intent is.
I wouldn't be a cop for all the tea in China (as my nan used to say Lulz) either here in the UK or the US. It's a thankless, dangerous job where your hands are tied by bureaucracy and Political Correctness.
I don't even think men want the job these days, it almost seems like a 60:40 ratio with women being the majority in this country, either that or there's just been a huge push to employ a lot more females.
