When I was in middle and high school, it was still common that gay kids or kids perceived as gay were bullied. I had a best friend who was gay but closeted. He was so clearly gay that he would get bullied. I always defended him.....he had our group of friends so it's not like he had no one.

Bullying in school has always been a bad problem. The "targets" change but the cruelty remains and it's even worse today than it was when I was in school because of the internet.

Gay and "trans" kids get preferential treatment. Bullying them is a high crime and it gets acted on fast. If it's a regular kid getting bullied....they do nothing. Theyll "talk" to the kids. But they do absolutely nothing.
