I had a nice discussion about this with the Florida parental rights bill(which is where most of this debate got brought to the forefront from).
The media and far left's reaction is to smear it as a "oh my gawd! you can't say gay" bill and admit they didn't even read the fucking thing, then when pressed extremely hard on it, it get watered down to the "well....they don't define what age appropriate means". Two different messages. one is banning a word like they claim, and another is just vague wording that can be fixed very easily. It shows that the objections are nothing but either disingenuous pandering or they are up to creepy shit they don't want the public to know and would rightfully outraged if they did.
What really creeps me out in this whole thing is that these left-wing activists types keep tryig to shoehorn lgbtq+ in terms of teaching kids about sex. Are they so fucking scared that by the 4th grade that kids will automatically be straight if you can't tell 5 year olds about how you got used as a rainbow-flagged cum dumpster? "but dat doesn't happen!" Well why the fuck are you so fucking opposed to a law to make sure that stays the case? There are plenty of gays without you teaching them the birds and the bees at the 8th grade level, and makes your objection completely moot and more like a hidden agenda.
