this will run linux, but I'm buying it as a game desktopI guess I paid too much for mine.
But I was looking for something that could run mac, linux & Windows under the same hood.
I'm not a Gamer either.
Linux is the really fast one. That's what Hollywood & other high end apps use.

I have about 130 games on steam. I also play a couple of MMORPG's and have a ps4 and a switch.I think this is a troll...post a screenshot of your Steam Library so we can see what "games" you actually play. I know Rancidmilko is a big fan of that simulation game where you drive a bus all day and the one where you run a coffee shop. I remember CW was a big fan of Ori and the Blind Forest and the sequel.

Its a much better box than the one I have currently which is a Dell AlienwareGeez and I felt I was being reckless by spending $1250 on a drone.
I guess we're long past the day of going to those computer shows where they have tables upon tables of computer parts, cases, peripherals, etc and you pick and choose and build your own custom machine. Its a much better box than the one I have currently which is a Dell Alienware
Im doing that with Arduino. Building stuff and learning code. I have several boxes of electronics in my "workspace" and it's a fun hobbyI guess we're long past the day of going to those computer shows where they have tables upon tables of computer parts, cases, peripherals, etc and you pick and choose and build your own custom machine.
I used to stay up until dawn resolving IRQ conflicts and configuring jumpers.Im doing that with Arduino. Building stuff and learning code. I have several boxes of electronics in my "workspace" and it's a fun hobby
I got one of those processors in my last box I got from arduino. Quite a bit of power in that little board. You fellas have got me wanting to get into a Raspberry Pi Linux project.
End product could make for a sweet little HTPC.I got one of those processors in my last box I got from arduino. Quite a bit of power in that little board.
I have 8 different processors altogether. Supposedly I can make anything I can conceive of. I want to learn video game coding.End product could make for a sweet little HTPC.

Well @RANCIDMILKO ™ ®© a lot of the best high end special effects software has been migrated from Windows or Mac to run on Linux now. Ie - Nuke. Substance Painter. Maya. And the studios buy these custom made PCs like @jack bought loaded with linux & high speed SSD’s & fast RAM chips eh?Wha?
You make less sense with each passing day, Joe

Seems Windows or Mac cant deliver the desired speeds the studios desire cuz theres too many bottlenecks in their OS that slow the computers down.

The big bear-trap with Linux gaming lies with a lot of multi-player games, as most game publishers refuse to port their anti-cheat schema to Linux.Linux doesn't have drivers for Nvidia GPUs, high-end gaming and software is not recommended on that platform, AMD GPUs can do some gaming, of course, it's gonna be limited on which games can run natively on Linux and you'd need Steam to have a decent library of games running
