Have you ever seen someone do a thing and known it would cause another thing to happen that you're pretty sure the person doesn't want to happen but you don't say anything because you can't believe the person doesn't realize the other thing will happen when they do the thing and will only tell you "of course I knew that!" but when they do the thing and then the other thing happens they seem genuinely surprised and you feel a little bad about not warning them before they did the thing and a little embarrassed because now people probably think you also didn't predict that the other thing would happen when the person did the thing but the whole situation is now so absurd that you can't help being amused and have to try not to laugh so you don't hurt the feelings of the person who did the thing that caused the other thing?

Or is that just me?

I would need to make a spreadsheet to track them all; if it was a one-off I never would have even brought it up.

Also I'm not interested in calling out anyone specifically... I'd much rather keep this a general topic. I'm far too kind to enjoy exposing a bunch of hapless bumblers like that.

I could write a book myself.

My sister was often one of the people I'd warn. She wouldn't listen, shit would go badly. She'd be upset about the outcome.

When I reminded her that she had fair warning, her response was always "It's too late now". But it wasn't too late when I warned you, now was it.

About 15 years ago, I gave up. No advice, no warnings...why bother, she still does the dumbass shit.

If I like the person and it's dangerous behavior or action, I might say something. I try not to though unless it could harm others.

I've found it's often unwanted advice.
