I have a really good friend I've known since childhood who is gay. And his younger brother is gay.

And they were both sexually abused by their mothers boyfriend when they were little.

Every gay MALE I know with the exception of 1 experienced sexual abuse as a child.

My friend I brought up in this post also hates being gay. He says the culture is toxic and it's very difficult to find a healthy partner. He has had a terrible trying to find someone to settle down with. He really wanted to have a family and all that and he says being gay took that away from him. He will openly say that if he could be attracted to women he would be a father and husband by now.

I never say anything to him when he calls me with this kind of talk because he is usually upset or drunk or both and he isnt open to pep talks at all. It's sad though. His last relationship involved cheating and domestic violence. Then he found out this guy was MARRIED to a woman who lived in another state. The whole situation was so fucked up.
